Learn moreThe waitress was sweet and really tried to do her best with the hand she is dealt. I feel that if she were in a different environment with the right training she would thrive! She does care about her customers.
The place is pretty dark and the playlist loops and does not give the best variety of music
The food is ok. The calamari comes with baby octopus, but the batter did not stick and to the squid, there was a yellow coloring left behind and it was overcooked. We sent them back and ordered hush puppies as a replacement (more on those later).
The gumbo came out next. It was warm, the shrimp used does not taste like nor appears to be fresh shrimp. The chicken in the gumbo is thigh meat and overcooked. This place uses the green roux and not the brown, which is fine, but good to know if you are looking for the brown gumbo.
Next up was the garlic bread. If you are looking for toast, I recommend that you steer clear of this item. It is really wet and I personally do not care for cold wet bread. Had it been toasted, it would have been very flavorful.
The catfish came out next. One piece was overcooked while the other was cooked perfectly, but it was lacking in flavor. The chicken tenders came out at the same time as the catfish and were also just warm. The fries for both of these dishes were the stars.
Up next, the shrimp and lobster bag came out. (By this time the person who ordered the gumbo was more than halfway finished with her meal. )This was ordered from the lunch special menu and had the Thursday special added to it. It was missing the potato, corn and sausage. I let the waitress know right away. The food was hotter than warm, but not piping hot. At first the lobster seemed cooked to perfection, but it wasnβt. The shrimp were a little overcooked, but still enjoyable.
The hush puppies were brought out next. The first three meals were pretty much finished. The 4th was still waiting for the potato, corn and sausage. Hush puppies were hot and flavor was ok. I would recommend this item.
Finally the corn, sausage and potato arrived. Sausage was overcooked, potato had a cold center and the corn was flavorless because it was not cooked with the seafood. And all the other meals were completed at this point, but since the food came out staggered, the last meal took the longest.
We were at the table discussing if we should speak to the manager or not. At this point the waitress came to check on us. I shared our concerns and experience with her. She immediately asked how she could improve and was receptive to our suggestions. I really do wish her the best. However, and this is not reflection on her, the manager never came to speak to us. The waitress did let us know that the chef is training, but where is the quality control? Where is the person who is double checking everything before the food goes out? I do not recommend this place. I do not plan on going back. When you go out to eat, you pay for the entire experience. In this instance, you do not get what you paid for.

Β Β Β Read moreEvery time I come to this place I am always satisfied. I made a reservation for 8 that was ready on a busy night in less than 30 minutes! They said they could only split our order into three checks, which worked out for us. I usually like to utilize the Check-in Yelp coupon of "Buy one pound of a Catch, get one 50% off". I can eat at most two lbs of the shrimp. This time I only ordered one lb ($16) with a side of steamed rice ($2). I ordered my shrimp mild Cajun style with tons of lemons. Although, my sauce was a bit spicier than my friends' Mild Cajun shrimp it was still very delicious. My boyfriend and I also ordered Cajun fries which are pretty small but a great side to eat with your food. One person in our group ordered a side of calamari ($10) with tartar sauce which was good but I prefer an onion ring type fried dough other than a tempura-like dough. The same people ordered Chicken Dumplings ($5) that smelled amazing but I didn't try any of it. Another person in our group ordered a side of the Seafood Pancakes (includes green onion, shrimp, calamari, and zucchini-$12) which she was not very satisfied with. It came with a side sauce that tasted like a very watered down Soy Sauce. She did not like the pancake because although it did have a lot of stuff in it, it was was also very flavorless. So she wouldn't recommend it nor order it again. Overall, everything was delicious but the seafood pancake. We finished our meal off with Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich ($3). I got strawberry and green tea and both of them were very delicious. It wasn't a big dessert so it did not make me super full afterwards. I would definitely recommend this place ic you are in the area and you...

Me and a friend walked in and it immediately made me think of a crawfish boil place and I felt at home. The facility is nice and clean overall.
Now the food (keep in mind im from Texas)... everything is a lot more expensive than I think it should be. The drinks were not that great my friend had a margarita with a lot of salt inside the drink. I wasn't overly wowed with my drinks. The FOOD was very BLAND we could not taste any flavors. Right after my friend and I discussed this the owner or manager came to our table and asked how was everything. I was hesitant to tell him but he seemed so eager to know. I told him we could not taste any flavors; I had crawfish and my friend had chicken with rice and garlic bread. The owner joked and said are you sure you dont have COVID-19, we laughed it off. He came back with more sauce, salt and pepper, and lemons.
I had high hopes for the food, I love seafood unfortunately the flavors just wasn't there. Our server was entertaining and surprisingly from Texas too. The people there to eat seemed to enjoy themselves in a weird quiet way. I will not be returning its just not what I expected, I hope I didnt crush the gentleman's thoughts about their food he seemed down after I...
