Aaron Baker's review is spot-on for Tuscon Pig Italian Kitchen... he tried all the speciality dishes. And they are very good. However, this evening I was dining with my wife who was taking me out to dinner on my 70th birthday. But she has a lot of food allergies and I have none. She prefers bland foods to avoid those allergic reactions. The food here is not bland. It is wonderful. In fact the speciality dishes reflect a very specific region of Italy. And I am not going to attempt telling you about the family history of the owner. He will come to your table and tell you. This evening was special because when we moved here 3 years ago during the Pandemic...my wife made a list of 12 restaurants in Longview she wanted to try... the Tuscan Pig was number one on that list. She sat there and told me again a wonderful story about a small Italian restaurant in New York City on a rainy evening with her friends...with the same character. And at night it was a trip back to New York City. This is a small family owned restaurant. Rudy will gladly tell you about his family speciality dishes. Each is unique. So I hope to come back and try the other's. I photo 📸 the dishes and had an Italian beer that was good. If you were planning to take the whole family out with lots of kids to the national chain of Italian style restaurants on the loop. This might not be a good choice. 😕 This restaurant is classic Italian cuisine and atmosphere. I felt like my wife had driven me to New York City...or in my case to a small Italian restaurant in Dallas Texas which I miss very much. The food is very good. The service is very good. The vibe or feel 😌 is very good. My wife had no difficulty getting in with her rollator and the server paid close attention to her food allergies 😒. She liked the place and wants to come back. Me too. Thanks for making my 70th a memorable night out.

Rave: The plan was to have a nice early dinner at a big name Italian restaurant downtown before browsing the Art Walk, but they failed to keep us updated on whether they would be open or not. I reached out to Tuscan Pig and received an immediate response, so that is where we dined. Why didn’t anybody tell me?!?! How could I have missed out on such a jewel for so many years?!?! I’ve had some great culinary experiences in all corners of the nation, and let me tell ya; Tuscan Pig is near the top of the list. It’s not just a meal, it’s truly a whole experience. The staff is friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. Rudy, the proprietor, is particular and precise in his every word and action. He takes time to address every patron and make certain that they are comfortable and content, and he takes great pride in every detail. From the moment you open the door and the magnificent aroma greets you just before the host does, to the final goodbyes from the staff that now feels more like old friends, you are accommodated in the most appetizing manner. They have found the perfect balance of attentiveness without being overbearing, and I’m here for it! As if the ambiance and exquisite service weren’t enough, the food is to-die-for! This isn’t just some great mom and pop Italian food, it’s by far the best I’ve ever tasted. Every. Single. Bite. Every. Single. Dish. To 👏🏻 die 👏🏻 for 👏🏻! I would offer up some recommendations, but I’ll leave that to the experts. Their method of recommendations just adds to the overall experience. If you don’t go right this moment; you’ll regret every missed opportunity when you do finally go!

Some friends and I had eaten here a couple of years ago, and it impacted us on such a deep level that we continued to discuss it for years to come…the four cheese bread…the bruschetta sampler…the chicken lasagna…unfortunately it is quite the trek for us to make it all the way out to Longview, and we weren’t able to come back for some time. However, on one fateful Friday evening, the stars aligned. Everything on the menu sounded delicious, but I settled on the pesto gnocchi with pork, and what followed, I believe has genuinely altered my life. Friends. Enemies. Esteemed Colleagues. You may believe I am being overly dramatic when I say this, but I have eyewitness accounts that will confirm what I am about to say. This dish quite literally moved me to tears. I genuinely cried over how delicious this meal was. I have sworn off gnocchi that has been made by other hands. I will only eat it here forevermore. To the owners: you are doing amazing work and I would probably sell a kidney for this food. Thank you.

Dined tonight for the first time . We ordered country lasagna . The flavors were there but sadly it was so dry after two bites I gave up eating it. The sauce was almost non existent . It seemed like it was days old and heated in the microwave . The service was excellent but that’s pretty much what you’re paying for at 17 bucks . Your made to feel like your in a fancy restaurant with microwave dinner presentation. I would skip this place . I wanted pasta I got instead dried pork with dry noodles . Such a shame because I could tell the sauce would have been good if they weren’t greedy with it or maybe it wasn’t them being greedy but serving old food ! I went home To add sauce so could eat the lasagna in the pics you will see it’s pretty much just meat and noodles the sauce is mine from a jar . I tried to open it up so people could see what I was talking about . The flavors were good don’t get me wrong it’s just dry .

We were immediately greeted and seated when we walked in. We were greeted as “hey friends” and it was only our 2nd time there. We chose their cheese bread and a salad before main course. The balsamic was the best dressing I have ever have and the salad was delish & fresh!! The cheese bread was the best I have ever had too along with the amazing green sauce. There was red sauce too. The main owner there makes these incredible recommendation dishes that him and his wife put together custom made. My chicken Parm and Pasta was so scrumptious. Best ever!!! My hubby did the build your own but he said he absolutely loved it and couldn’t stop feeding hisself. lol Our tiramisu was heaven in our mouths!! The service was super attentive and friendly. We’re going back on Valentine’s Day because they have a special treat you will have to ask about in more detail. Fully recommend!! Place is charming and clean too!!

Traveled to Longview for work and this was a very highly rated place to visit. As soon as I walked in, the service was amazing. Very friendly staff and owner. My server was very informative. He suggested the Chef's Favorite Bruschetta starter, and all I can say is WOW. This appetizer blew my mind. So delicious, I ate three by myself. Definitely one of the best things I have eaten in a while. I ordered the Country Lasagna as my entree, which is one of their specialties. Unfortunately after the delicious Bruschetta, the Lasagna was a bit of a let down. I ordered it because of their Tuscan Style Pork used in the Lasagna, but there was barely any meat inside. All cheese and pasta. I would definitely come back the next time I visit, but I will probably choose the BYO Pasta option next time. Great dining experience overall but I was sad about the Lasagna for the rest of the evening.
