If you look at my reviews I try to leave positive reviews for the places that people should visit. I usually don't leave a mediocre or even a bad review...but I was so surprised at how this went I had to be honest with what I thought. My opion and thoughts, you may have a different experience and good luck if you do. So the good....the girl that brought the pop was very nice. Beyond that, just don't. Entry into the vestibule and I see a dirty rolled up carpet and lots of cobwebs. We were previously told the food was okay so we went in anyway. The lady told us to grab a booth. After finding one that didn't have torn upholstery we went to the buffet. Styrofoam plates. So is the dishwasher broken and not able to sterilize stuff? What about the real silverware...how was that cleaned? Grabbed a plate (food area was clean) and framed a sample. The fried rice was just a sticky mass. Coconut Shrimp...in name only. It was some kind of a doughy springy ball with absolutely no shrimp in it. I have no clue what it was. No flavor and the chewy consistency of foam. Very off putting texture...but I am dying to know what exactly it was. General Tso had a coating that was more like the chili sauce/grape jelly stuff you make for Xmas meatballs. No spice at all. Surely the broccoli chicken can't be bad...wrong. It was cold. From a steam table.. cold....and the broccoli had an earthy unwashed taste. Sesame chicken was very chewy but at least the sauce was tasty. Black pepper chicken was way over cooked and under flavored. Baked crab had some weird cheese sauce. Has anyone ever had Chinese cheese? Exaclly...Just didn't belong and had a weird aftertaste. Pepper steak was okay. Can't really say anything good or bad about it. Meh. The bathroom...you can't paint over pee and dirt. You can't apply new caulk on top of moldy old caulk....well maybe you can, but you shouldn't (just saying). It all sat well, didn't give me any gastrointestinal issues but just wasn't any good either. Needless to say I won't be back for any reason. If you're the owner reading this do me a favor. Walk in like your a customer and take yourself through the dining experience as a paying person. Look around pretending you have never been in the place. Great location, ample enough dining room. Clean it up and a little quality control on the food and it...
Read moreI never do buffet style restaurants but my husband enjoys them. We walked in about 7PM because my husband wanted Chinese. My initial thought was he would get it to go and I would get food elsewhere. But he said, can I eat it here where it’s hot, so I thought OK why not? Walking in it was very dark and just OK. After being shown our seats, we went up to the buffet where they only had Styrofoam plates. I get it with staffing problems that you need to cut corners and do some things differently but Styrofoam? Can we at least get paper products that won’t just sit in the landfills for the next 1000 years?
I have some very specific food allergies, so I am very particular about the foods I choose. I really thought I chose well. Some of the things I chose appeared to have been sitting there for hours, couldn’t even get a knife to cut through my pot sticker. When you walk into a When you walk into this establishment, there is a sign that says “take what you want but eat what you take.” That wouldn’t be so bad if the food was at least edible.
Unfortunately after eating what little I ate, within minutes I was running for their bathroom. Needless to say the bathroom was not clean and there was a sign above the toilet that said “if toilet seat is loose please notify the hostess. Use caution when using the toilet”. Can we not just fix the problem?
I went back to the table, sat down for two minutes and was running for the bathroom again. At this point, I told my husband to get the bill so we can get out of there. Barely made it home let alone out to run a few errands that we were going to run.
Even for a buffet the food was very subpar. Overall cleanliness very poor. Appearance of restaurant was like walking into the 1980s. The pricing is only $10.99 per dinner, however, with the poor quality I would’ve preferred to eat a cheeseburger meal from McDonald’s. My overall rating is 1 star but that is only because I cannot go any lower. I would not recommend this...
Read moreWe went on a Wednesday @ 2.30pm. Perhaps it was just the time of the day, but we were rather disappointed by the food. The workers were great, which is why I gave it 2 Stars instead of one, but the food doesn't deserve 3 stars.
The sushi had clearly been rolled hours prior and refrigerated - this was the first time eating cold sushi with dried out rice (and my guts are paying the price 4 hours later).
The wontons in the wonton soup were decent, but the soup portion of it had no taste and the color was off.
The spring rolls were rather rubbery and so dried out that I had to saw them with my teeth.
The muscles were dried out and rubbery - we couldn't eat them.
The salmon was a dark brown and rubbery to break apart, so I didn't bother dishing myself up any.
The Crab Rangoon and the baked crab were delicious!
Then at 3pm, a lot of people that did not speak English (and clearly weren't related) came in and started pushing my daughter and I out of the way to fill up to-go containers. In my years of travelling, that was a first for me. Again - perhaps there was an event close by that included residents of other countries and they happened to break at that time. IF I try eating there again, it will be on a different day of the week at a different...
