Jemma Pizzeria - Palisades Village — Restaurant in Los Angeles

This place is very disappointing. If you are going to pay inflated prices for a sandwich or a pizza, the quality of the food and the service should not be subpar. I recently ordered a tuna sandwich and a slice of cheese pizza. The slice came out quickly, but the tuna sandwich took 20 minutes, no exaggeration. There was no one else in the restaurant at the time I ordered. By the time I got the sandwich, there were six people in the restaurant waiting for their orders. One of the women commented that she had placed her order to go on the phone, and still had to wait to get her food. She said that she works in the area and every time she goes in for lunch, she has to wait far too long. When I opened up the sandwich, it was a disaster. Stuffed with too many scoops of tuna, pouring out of the sides and all over the outside of the sandwich. Far too many pickles and other things shoved into the sandwich - very difficult to eat and a total mess. Also, a waste of food. This restaurant is a prime piece of real estate in one of the best spots in the city. The service should not suck. And the food...

I wanted so badly to score high here but honestly the pizza is the worst pizza I have ever had in my 42 years. It was wet. Not greasy. Watery. So watery that the pizza dough turned into a soggy mess. WOW! I just walked in for coffee. But the beautiful lady inside (Genesis - such a kind person) convinced me to try their Crispy Chicken Pesto panini style sandwich.
