Food was good. Checked waiting time before arriving which said 15 minutes. I went ahead and called in my order, they said 30 minutes. Got there after about 20/25 minutes and maybe waited another 10 minutes before my food was up. Not too bad. I ordered 2 sandwiches (the Barry and the chicken one), 1 cheese fry and one "b-rite" fry (I think that's what they called them... Ppl referred to them as grippo fries because of the seasoning on them), and 2 of the 6 pc chicken legs. The total was almost $40 bucks. Not bad for that amount of food and EVERYTHING was hot and fresh! Only down side was ppl had been there for a long time waiting on food. At least 3 ppl ended up having to get their money back. Also, I was there at around 3 or 4 in the afternoon, they had to close early because they ran out of bread. They normally close at 7 but had to close 2 to 3 hours early because they ran out of wings and bread (two things they "specialize" in). All in all, it was a good experience. They're still learning how to operate as a new business that's booming. They'll be getting a new grill in February which will allow them to cook more meat for sandwiches at one time so that should cut down on the wait times. I'm still not quite sure how they ran out of bread though... That's like Subway running out of bread or KFC running out of chicken, just doesn't make sense. Lol but I would definitely go back. Barry himself came around and asked everyone how they enjoyed their food, if they had any feedback, and took pics with...

To be fair, I’m not entirely sure this was my order, but I had asked for a Big Barry with provolone, mild peppers, and onions. What I got was something completely different—whiz cheese, pepperoni, green peppers, bacon (I think), hot peppers, and onions. The bun was so soggy it fell apart in my hands. I feel like they are trying to cut costs, the steak was not ANYTHING close to a Philly. I'm from So Philly, believe me this sandwich was no where near an authentic Philly. Maybe you can trick someone from KY. But not someone raised on those corner mom n pop Philly Cheese steak. I would pay more for an authentic Philly than the generic sandwich presented to me tonight. I usually am not so harsh, but it literally was disgusting. Mr. Barry, I appreciate your faith in God. But I would rather hear what changed, and how your going to fix it.
Looking back at my previous visit, I was truly impressed, which makes this even more disappointing. Maybe it was just an off night, or maybe things have changed. Either way, I left feeling like I’d wasted my time. I hope they can get back to what made them great because I used to really love this cheesesteak.

Read moreBarry's is truly unique diner really, in that there really isn't anywhere else in the local area to purchase quick food like Barry's cheese steaks and fries. Their restaurant is a little small and not a fine dining place. Fold out tables and courteous staff that serve great tasting food is what you get. Preston Highway is a busy road with traffic and many commercial businesses and construction that is always attracting people to stop and eat somewhere so Barry's fits the bill for the area and its easy to stop and grab a quick bite, however WARNING lunch time can be very crowded and you can spend half your lunch hour waiting to order then get your food with only a few minutes to eat it there or in your vehicle. They don't serve fountain drinks, but they do have bottled drinks, and sometimes the ketchup bottles are empty on the tables, because their food tastes especially good with some ketchup!! So ask for some! If you eat at Barry's feel blessed that they do what they do, and that they care about you. Not many places do that and not many places serve this kind of food a very fair price to very friendly people! Go check out Barry's and see for your self! Their food is a 4.5...
