If half stars were allowed, this place was a 4.5.
I ordered teriyaki chicken for pick up. The inside is very nice with great atmosphere. The server at the desk was super friendly and asked if I wanted any soy sauce or chopsticks.
The food was very fresh and, I don't know how else to put it than "lite." nothing about it seemed processed or just pushed out. I also appreciate how much teriyaki sauce was used, clearly to accommodate for the included rice on the side. The sauce was not overly sweet-a pleasant surprise.
My dock of a half star is a simple fix. The menu descriptions (at least on the apps I researched upon trying this). I paid extra for the addition of veggies, with no mention that of the fact that it comes standard with carrots and broccoli. Not a huge deal, I just knew I wanted some vegetables for taste and texture. The menu had me thinking I was just getting chicken and rice.
Otherwise, no complaints here, and I would love to dine in next time...
Read moreI am a sushi connoisseur, and was very impressed by this restaurant. It is tied for the best sushi I have ever had in the state of colorado.
Whenever I go to a new sushi bar, I typically order chirashi to evaluate what fish is good that night.
I was blown away by the quality of everything I got in my bowl. Typically, I expect chirashi to come with a couple pieces of good fish as well as a couple pieces of older or not quite as high quality fish that the chef is trying to clear out.
In this case, everything in the bowl was absolutely excellent. Even the tako (octopus, very hard to avoid cooking it and making it rubbery) was relatively tender and a good flavor. Every piece of fish was fresh, soft and fatty, and great flavor.
My friends that are not a fan of fish had excellent chicken and tempura dishes, and the dessert of fried ice cream and fried cheesecake was the perfect finish to the...
Read moreThey serve some of the most delicious, freshest sushi I have had in a long time. This place tops all other restaurants that offer sushi in NoCo. We ordered delivery, and the food was okay. I recommend checking this place out, but probably make your visit in person if you want an overall lovely experience.
It seems as though customers have a better time dining in compared to having it delivered. I would agree with that simply because they forgot the two sauces we requested as well as the cutlery. Other than that, I was relatively pleased with the food.
We ordered chicken lo mein (which wasn’t bad, just lacked moisture), pork fried rice that was pretty good, egg drop soup (which was delicious and had no corn or tofu), and egg rolls that were absolutely fantastic. Last, but certainly not least, we purchased an order of California rolls that was beyond incredible and definitely...
