This was my first time here (yeah, idk why). My wife had been here once. I was craving some Cajun food and this was my first thought. Kobe was our server and she was very nice and attentive. The food was really good. I had signed up for the rewards program before we went, so I got an appetizer for free. We got the Canal Street sampler with Boudin balls, fried pickles, and Rat Toes (shrimp & crab stuffed jalapeños). all were very good, and I’m not even big on shrimp or crab. The dipping sauce was great. For the main meal, I had the Cajun fried steak which was exactly what I’d hoped it would be. I loved the green beans as they had bacon and some rue in there as well. The mashed potatoes were good also, and the andouille cream gravy was amazing. And bread. You can never go wrong with bread. My wife has the Tchoupitoulas Chicken. She likes it as well, except she didn’t like the green beans because they were kind of soft. She really likes the rest. I samples everything of hers, and it was really good. I finished her green beans, because I really liked them. 🙂 They had a special on their Hurrycane Hell drinks, so we each got one and they were good. Basically a frozen hurricane. We will definitely be back when we need Cajun again.

I had the Cajun Combo Skillet. Additionally we had the Cajun Cracklin & Crispy Chips (also known as pork rinds) which was a little unexpected, but tasty nonetheless. The whole skillet is rice bedded as an FYI, and the rice for each of the three entrees is differently flavored which is the way it should be. The star on my dish was the red beans and rice, however. The flavor was spot on, and I even commented that it was rich enough to be great as it's own entree, which it is. The weakest point was the rubbery corn which was either frozen and or in a pot all day. Although it's just a side, crispy-fresh corn on the cob would have been a nice addition. The crawfish etoufee was better than the shrimp creole, but there are other recipes in town that have a better flavor. The star of the table was my wife's Honeysuckle Ribs. Just try them... And don't let the Moonshine Apples by. Again this is just a side, but they're jalapeno moonshine and butter infused and should be their own desert item! The ribs and apples together make for a great dish.

I wouldn't say that I'm a connoisseur of cajun food but I enjoyed Razzoo's. The ambience is decent- they have very glossy big TV screens and happened to be playing the UT vs Iowa game, since I went to UT for undergrad this might have earned them an extra 1/2 star ;). We sat at the bar- a modern looking sleek U-shape right in the middle of the room, and you can watch the bartenders make the drinks. We got the stuffed shrimp, stuffed fish, a pasta dish, beers, and maker's mark. The food is great, not life changing, but satisfactory, rich, and filling. The wait staff is very courteous, friendly, and helpful. I enjoyed the menus (see picture); it has a lot of attitude. They have a large menu, drink menu, and their desserts looked pretty bomb (did not actually try though). Drinks were good; they do not skimp. It's a little bit on the pricey side for Lubbock but everything seems to be going up these days.

Title: Razzoo's Cajun Cafe: A Pleasant Atmosphere and Quick Service

Introduction: Razzoo's Cajun Cafe is a delightful dining establishment that offers a vibrant atmosphere, prompt service, and a delectable Cajun-inspired menu. During my recent visit, I was impressed by the pleasant ambiance, attentive staff, and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant.

Atmosphere: Upon entering Razzoo's Cajun Cafe, I was immediately greeted by a lively and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant's vibrant decor, featuring colorful murals and rustic accents, created a warm and welcoming ambiance. The dim lighting and upbeat music added to the overall enjoyable dining experience.
