We have been ordering and picking up from here for many many years. What happened, last night 1/27/2024 we called in an order as usual. I got my belt buster burger very good, my wife could not get her chicken fajita they did not have it anymore. She could not get turkey and dressing for some reason so she just got a burger. The food was good but the young lady seemed distracted when my wife called the order in the young lady was talking to someone as she placed our order. The place seemed different it was brighter in there and not very many people, I know businesses change owners but wow this is very disappointing. The older people would come in and it was very nice dimmer lighting most of the tables full and no gambling. I Picked up some months back it seemed fine same dim lighting ordered what we usually order no problem, I had a nice talk with I believe to be the new owner or someone related to the owner it was all good. My wife told me about the negative reviews ever since they switched owners. Unfortunately we found out exactly how bad this place had become. Placed our dinner order at 6:00. Waiter told me that one of our items would take 30 minutes. I had to get my sister to DTLG for the 7:03 train back to the city so I thought it would be fine. By 6:45, I asked the waiter to make out dinners to go. Waited another 5 minutes and no food so I left the boys behind and took my sister to the train. Ten minutes to DTLG and 10 more to get back to the restaurant. The boys told me that they had just brought out the to go orders (7:15 at this point). I told the waiter that the evening was a complete wash, that there was no excuse for us to have waited an hour and 15 minutes for our food, and that there was no communication on his behalf for why the food was taking forever.
