Horst's Little Bakery Haus Downtown — Restaurant in Madison

Uphill, downtown doesn't matter. Time doesn't matter. We have stopped at all hours, different days at both locations and I have NEVER tasted, seen or smelled a glazed donut from them. Good for them..my bad. I would say maybe one day but I'm over it. Went to the hilltop last week and they were closed at about 11:00. Probably out of donuts. So I can get them at the gas station at the top of Hanging Rock. That makes all kinds of sense. Maybe you all should put gas pumps in and sell gas. With all the visits and missed NOT ONE employee said we could pre-order or get the donuts at the gas station. Wonder if they sell out by 9AM?

Donuts are delicious! The Girl at the counter wasn't very friendly I hope her day gets better. She forgot my two glazed donuts in my larger order. Ordered 15 donuts total' but only recv'd 13. Always disappointing. I’ve been there several times over the past 5 years but I’ve only eaten there twice. There’s always some reason as to why they can’t make breakfast—they have things on the menu they don’t know how to cook, they’re open until 11:30, but the kitchen is closed by 10:30, or the whole place is just closed during their own business hours. I’m giving up on this place. Just go to Hinkle’s or even better, Crossroads in Versailles. Totally...
