Me and my family went yesterday for dinner. It was incredibly empty. One server. One cook that we could see. And one guy just walking around and not doing anything and talking to the waitress. We saw at least two couples come in and just leave after 5-10 minutes because the waitress didn’t greet them once they got to their table. There was one couple, my family, and a guy in the back sitting by himself who I’m assuming was celebrating his birthday. (Happy birthday to him) but they blared happy birthday on the speakers for a full 5 minutes even after his candles were out which honestly kinda ruined the vibe from the start. Very annoying since the song repeated like 12 times. The waitress we had was underage so we had to wait for beer to be served for over 20 minutes since the chef was the only one old enough to pour any type of drinks and serve them. Once we got appetizers for the All you can eat kbbq, they only bring you one tiny little plate per appetizer. I’m talking like three small rose rice cakes in a little sauce dish that is supposed to be shared among 6 people?? Makes zero sense. We asked for more rice cakes, like three orders since we knew it would take a while to get them. Took about 20 minutes just to get out three more little sauce bowls of haha three rice cakes each. The corn cheese was good but they very much so did not give us enough cheese. Also we noticed the whole time we were there that the waitress kept the grill thing on low so it would take the meat longer to cook. (Assuming it’s a restaurant tactic to make more money from what we couldn’t order in the 2 hour time limit they have for tables). Did not once ask us if we wanted to keep it on higher heat. There is no reason why thinly sliced brisket should take 30 minutes to cook in such a small quantity. We turned it up to medium and it was going great but every time she came back, she turned it down again. The other guy did the same thing when he dropped the beer pitcher off (which we only got because it was taking so long to even get one beer to begin with so why keep waiting for refills at that point?) The sauces for the meat were pretty good. The salt and pepper seasoning they have is good, so is the wasabi sauce they give you. They have a house soy sauce that my family enjoyed using for the meat. But the place itself was just not clean and the service was pretty bad. Two of the six cups we got at the table for the water had some type of oily film that was coming off into the water so they clearly need to wash their dishes better. Also when we sat down, the table had not been cleaned properly either. All six of us said half way through our meal that we wish we had just driven the 20 minutes to Iron Age in Centreville. I will never go back...

So I need to start out by saying that we were complete newbs to the Korean BBQ experience. It took me a while to decide which establishment to try first, and even though this was not the closest to us, the reviews I read made the decision for me. I am happy to say I am not at all disappointed!!

Those who know me know I am not one to over embellish or gush about things, but I really do think this was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had, and every member of our party of seven agrees wholeheartedly.

I have to admit, when we first got there and was shown the menu we felt a little overwhelmed and unsure about what to do, or what to actually order. Our host, who also happens to be the owner, Marcie, seemed to sense this and slowed waaaaay down. She started fully explaining everything, answering all the questions we had, and even took the time showed us how to make different things (and it wasn't just a couple of minutes either!).

Her attention to detail, patience, and overall demeanor made our experience all the better. She, and the server David, really made the whole experience next level for us, and we all had a blast doing so. Marcie's energy and positivity be absolutely infectious and it definitely set a super positive tone for our entire meal!

I haven't even got to the good part yet! The food arrived and it was absolutely delicious, even more so when we followed Marcie's simple directions to make various things. The flavor profiles, textures, and the quality of the ingredients were really second to none. You can tell they take great pride in their ingredients as well as the overall experience. None of their ingredients contained any MSG or artificial colors/preservatives, and you could tell. We really could not get enough! (Good thing it was all you can eat!)

If you are somewhere even remotely close to the area (like within an hour!) I would HIGHLY recommend you pay a visit, even if you have never had it before, you will not be disappointed, Marcie will do everything she can to make sure of it.

They have gained customers for life from us (they even added us to their "VIP" board to seal the deal lol) and my oldest daughter was already hitting me up to come back for her birthday next month. One of our friends sons who was with us (they were visiting from out of state) also declared they wanted to move here, just to be able to eat here regularly, lol.

Thank you, Marcie for taking all the time you did with us, and for your positivity, and patience with us, it really...

I don't usually write reviews but had to leave a review to let others know about my experience in this korean bbq! My pawpaw, sister and I had lunch here yesterday after attending the church. We hit a huge sinkhole in the road and destroyed part of our car bumper. So naturally, I think I was a nervous wreck. Luckily, we had the best server possible. My apologies for not remembering his name. He was very kind and extremely patient with us. That's even with me on the phone filing an insurance claim!! I was on the verge of panicking the first half of our lunch, and I was able to calm down and enjoy the food because I felt that we were being taken care of by the gentle staff. The food was great too and I felt really satisfied at the end. We hope to stop by again soon in better condition!

I’ve been here before and had a good time but had to leave a review today because of the service we received last night. The waitress acted annoyed like she didn't want us from the beginning and we felt super rushed. She told us kitchen will be closing soon. Understandable. We still had more than an hour so we decided to stay. Then she proceeds to waste the time changing our seating 3 times because she did not know how to operate the grill. We asked her for some drinks listed on the menu and she told us they were out. Understandable. We asked for some rice and they were out too?? Thats when we decided to leave. Surprisingly the other staff brought us the rice and drinks immediately after hearing our concerns. I guess the waitress didn't want us so he took over and it changed the whole vibe. Overall the food was great and we enjoyed the rest...

This evening was our first visit to Breakers and we were absolutely blown away! My partner and I are Manassas locals and we come to the mall pretty often to eat and hang out. We’ve walked past this restaurant but never tried it. Right away when you walk in, the atmosphere is very chill with relaxing music playing. There are a few TV screens to look at with sports, etc. playing in the background. Everything is very clean and the room is spacious with plenty of seating. Now: The Challenge. I have Celiac’s disease, so I react to foods that have wheat, gluten, soy sauce, etc., a tall order with Korean food. A manager (I think?) spoke with us at length about my needs and then was able to recommend two excellent main courses for us that wouldn’t be a problem for me. She triple checked every single side dish and the even salad dressings for allergens. The same person (again, they had a managerial air) showed us out to wrap our food in pickled radish. Delicious! My partner had the fresh pork belly and I had the beef brisket. Everything came with rice, salad, and side dishes and my goodness - it was so. Freaking. Good. Even without all of the sauces the food generally comes with. My partner also ordered a glass of house red that was really, really good too. We were so delighted with the food and the service. It is possible to eat gluten free here, with two options for meals that we know of. What a great place! We will be back!

Was very excited to try this place out. The one in fair oaks mall is great. This one was very underwhelming. We sat, and a girl came over and greeted us in Spanish. No big deal but was a little difficult to understand. Our server came over and also did not speak English very well so he had to repeat himself often and there was a lot of confusion when it came to asking questions and such. All the grill meats are on the buffet line. They had some veggies like (onions peppers and one small mushroom, that’s it) a few pickled veggies and salad. All the serving trays on the buffet line stayed pretty empty most of our visit. The plates on the buffet line were also dirty. The grill had flames shooting out of it that were definitely too close for comfort. The grill also got charred after only 10-15 minutes of grilling. And we had to chase down our server and ask him to change. This happened multiple times. Our vent was broken or not turned on so the smoke was just sitting above our heads. They also handed us some disgusting scissors to cut our meat with. We thought about just paying and leaving. My husband only ate his fried rice. They close at 9 and around 845 we were told “ a few more minutes and you have to leave”. I’ve been to a lot of KBBQ and this one has by far been the worst one. Quality of food. And service were all terrible. I hope they can figure out the kinks and make this place better.

We stopped by Breakers for an impromptu dinner after realizing how hungry we were while mall walking, and we were blown away by the customer service from Marcie and our waitress. Marcie really made us feel like we were family with her incredible customer service and with the delicious, nutritious recipes used in the restaurant. We ordered youjacha (honey citron tea) and sujeonggwa (cinnamon ginger punch) to start after learning about how they’re all homemade, and they were both delicious. The sujeonggwa was one of the tastiest drinks I’ve ever had! The AYCE option will leave you as full as you wish to be, and don’t miss out on the seasonal veggies, which was house pickled radish for our visit. We also indulged in the prime la galbi, and it had great flavor and was very tender. All of the meat we ordered was very tender! If you leave the beef brisket on the grill for a little longer, it basically turns into something that tastes like beef bacon! I can’t say enough good things about Breakers, definitely stop by if you’re in the area (or make a special trip, it’s worth it!)
