Rooster's Chicken & Waffles Manchester — Restaurant in Manchester

Update 1/2024: even though they didn’t have to, the NEW owner of Rooster’s contacted me and offered to fulfill my order 6 months later - my fiance went and picked up the food tonight and it is BETTER THAN EVER. The staff were so kind and helpful, the chicken was juicy and flavorful, the delicious waffles encrusted in sugar, the sauce unbeatably maple-honey mustard-y. Wow. The fact that new ownership was willing to fix a mistake of past owners is unheard of, and we will be faithful patrons from now on because of their amazing customer service. Thank you so much!!! I’ve said it multiple times and I’ll say it again, Cheek’s is NOTHING compared to Rooster’s Manchester.

Previous review, 7/2023: Ordered online through Clover during business hours an hour before closing, fiancé went to pick up and you were closed. Week and a half of calling with no answer and checking DoorDash which said temporarily closed. Things happen and hopefully y’all are okay but if you’re away you should make sure ALL forms of online...

This place has a lot of growing to do. The staff are very nice, but they are just not good at timing. We ordered online and quoted 20-25 minutes. 45 minutes after our scheduled pick up our food was finally ready. When we got home I was disheartened to see that the mozzarella sticks (a large is 5-6 sticks) had no cheese in them(pictured are 3 different sticks). This was a bad experience and needs significant improvement. 2 stars because the sandwiches the 2 times I have been have been fantastic.

Edit: I want to clarify. On July 15th I came in with a party totaling 5 people. We ordered in the store and ended up spending 52 minutes between ordering and waiting for the order to be fulfilled. The sandwiches we received were well made and delicious. On July 26th I returned for a second time and had the experience noted above. Both times the sandwiches were well made and tasted good, both times the wait time was wildly over what would be a reasonable...

This review is for the Roosters in 394 Middle Tpke Manchester Ct only. I say that because they have several in Ct. I made the error to go to the one Silas Deane Wethersfield and will NOT go there again. So let’s talk about the Rooster restaurant in Manchester Ct. Wow a clean looking restaurant and well organized. The young lady that took my order was superb. (First time I ordered from them) I ordered 12 wings (perfectly just perfectly cook) and a side ordered of fry plantains (also perfectly cook) they will give you a selection of sauces(delicious and really the wings are so good you don’t need the sauce but good sauce.
