Hardee’s — Restaurant in Mauldin

We stopped here on our way home to the beach. What a welcomed change to most of the fast food restaurants today. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They were all very polite and asked several times if we needed anything else or if they could help us with anything. Our food was made fresh, fries were hot. All tasted great. While we were eating, the district mngr came over and spoke with us to make sure all our needs were being taken care of.

I was so impressed with this Hardees. It's been a while since I've seen a staff that genuinely seemed to enjoy their job and were happy to be at work. The greetings and "How y'all doing?" felt genuine and not just a feeling of needing to "fulfill my job obligations" kind of atmosphere. I highly recommend this Hardees. I don't usefully give such a high review, but this place truly earned it. And I should also mention that the bathrooms were super clean. That aspect alone means a lot when you're traveling.

If I could give this Hardee's a -5 stars I would. The level of incompetence and food quality at this restaurant is terrible. Even if you're the only customer, be prepared to wait 5 minutes for anyone to bother walking up to the counter. Then you'll get a look like you just interrupted their busy schedule. I have been to this restaurant 3 times within 2 weeks for cinnamon raisin biscuits and upon seeing none on the warming rack I'll ask if they have them. All three times the same churlish lady says, "naw, we don't have any." The times I visited were between 7 AM and 8 AM so it wasn't outside normal hours for breakfast items. The normal morning person acts like she could care less if she gets your business or not and that's probably the reason this Hardee's is normally empty. If you can't hire people that care and provide food, maybe they should think about shutting this location down. Will not be going back to this place the young lady manager was in the lobby talking on her phone when i entered as i stepped to the counter to order my food she proceeded to come into the kitchen area still on her phone to prepare my food i ordered without washing her hands as i continued watching she put gloves on and then placed her cell phone into her bra then moved her long hair behind her back grabbed her phone once more which she was continuing to talk on through her shirt and with other gloved hand was touching everything in the food prep area moving stuff around i felt this was very unsanitary and also very unprofessional especially for a manager i proceeded to politely cancel my order and get a refund she then came from prep area to the register gave me my refund still with gloves that she was preparing food with and didn't even look my direction or bother to find out what the problem...
