Scooter's Coffee — Restaurant in McKinney

I decided to come here for the first time just after 8:30 AM on October 26th. The staff was super patient and friendly. The two people who helped me were attentive and helpful and were happy to answer any questions, even when I asked things like, "is the caramelizer sweet?" The answer is yes, as you would suspect. It is delicious. I like my coffee sweet. I don't want to be overwhelmed by the taste of bitter espresso (AKA Starbucks' coffee, but hey, I can't dislike a Seattle-based business.) I will be sure to return in the future. This place is a lot closer to my house than Dutch Bros, and from what I've had from both places, Scooter's is better in terms of flavor. They also have a wide variety of yummy looking snacks... I'll have to try them when I come next. Special mention to the lady who answered my questions and even suggested various options that I might enjoy when I was still deciding what to order. I regret not learning your name. I appreciate you and your hard work. If you are not already in a lead position, you should definitely apply for one. You deserve a raise and recognition for your above and beyond service. I know what it's like to consistently provide amazing service, and I am grateful for you and the way you maintain excellent standards for yourself as well as your team. I’m very disappointed in my experience at this location. I ordered a large redbull with red raspberry, coconut, and heavy cream— which I get every time just at other locations. When I got my drink it instantly tasted off, I circled back around and they told me they are sure they made it right, and that they used a tropical can of redbull. I told them I did not want the tropical redbull, just the regular once, hence the way I ordered it. If I had wanted a tropical redbull I would have said tropical redbull. I said I’m sorry for the inconvenience but I would like this to be remade, as it is not what I paid $8 for. She proceeded to tell me she would have to charge me. I’ve never heard of a place messing up my order and then making me pay for the new one. Mind you, this entire time she seemed extremely inconvenienced and annoyed. My family and I decided to go out of the normal Starbucks on our Sunday morning. We decided to try Scooters since it was much closer to our home than our regular Starbucks. We went through the drive thru and noticed there wasn't much business that morning. A little nervous trying something new to jump start our day we ordered 2 Mango smoothies, 2 cinnamon rolls and 2 Honey Vanilla ice Lattes. The customer service was very fast and very nice. Service with a smile! The smoothies were creamy and delicious my kids sucked them down before we even made it home! The cinnamon rolls were so amazing and larger than I expected.
