I typically show a lot of grace with restaurants but tonight set me off. I placed the order on line and attempted curbside pick up. We arrived when they indicated the order would be ready, followed their curbside instructions and waited for 8 minutes with no response. I called inside and was told our order had just been placed in the oven and to give them 10 minutes. We left and returned 15 minutes later, still no response from curbside pick up so we go in and pick up our order and take it home. We get home to realize one of the pizza's was wrong, our side salad was incorrect AND our cinnamon knots were stale / old.
I initially called to inform them so when we returned we wouldn't have to wait for them to remake the order. The young lady who answered the phone was rude / unprotected and borderline dismissive. We arrived back to the restaurant, go directly inside to return the items and request a refund. I'm advised because I ordered it online I would have to initiate the refund online. No problem, I go and don't see any way to initiate the refund. The manager was very helpful and tried to assist me, however they were not able to give me a receipt or proof of refund being processed which wasn't acceptable since I had returned the food.
After waiting 30 minutes the local manager finally reached out to a corporate manager who instructed him to give me a credit card refund....at this stage I just want to LEAVE....they ask me for my credit card which is in my truck....I asked them I'd they were seriously telling me the only way I could receive my refund was if I went out to my truck and got my card after I'd already been waiting for 30 minutes? The same young lady who answered the phone rudly was rude AGAIN, making a bad experience worse.
The manager was able to provide me a CASH refund for the food I returned and I left (after I advised how unbelievable tonight's experience had been. I have only been to this specific location twice (both this week) and after this experience, I won't be returning (my salad was wrong on my first order as well and received a refund). Customer service is HUGE, if that experience is negative it tarnishes the overall experience....tonight that happened with Pyros on Union Ave....I...
Read moreI would rate Pyro's on Union a negative number if this system would allow me to. My rating is based solely on the actions of the manager 'Jas.' The employees preparing my salad and pizza were great. However, my interaction with the manager was a totally different story. I frequent Pyro's, and I've never experienced the level of unprofessional behavior that this manager exhibited. Because of past pizzas being over cooked, I asked the lady at the counter if she could check on my pizza because the young man handling the oven had stepped away. I didn't realize she was the manager. I told her I wanted to make sure my pizza was not over cooked. She very rudely said we have to make sure the pizza is done or we could get in trouble. She went on to tell me that she don't know who cooked my pizza before but the young man handling the oven wouldn't over cook the pizzas. I said that obviously I don't want an undercooked pizza but I don't want it burned either. I asked again if she could check my pizza. By this time the young man was back and he did check it. I was standing near the counter and she then said, "You need to sit down over there and wait. You can't be up here leaning on my counter." I was not leaning on the counter. I told her that and I also said that she probably didn't need to talk to me anymore. She said, "Well I'm the manager!" I said well just refund my money. I choose not to spend my money where I'm not treated with respect. She couldn't figure out how to refund my money and told me she'd have to take my number and get "someone" to call me on Monday. I told her I was not leaving until she refunded my $21.52. She proceeded to call her district manager who she referred to as Melanie Raymond. Apparently Melanie authorized her to only refund the amount of my pizza. I refused to leave until I was refunded all of my money. Needless to say, Melanie should do some basic refresher training for her manager - not for my sake because I won't ever go back - but for the other customers who spend their money at Pyro's. This whole situation could've been avoided had 'Jas' simply said, "I'll check on your...
