Loose Screw Beer Co. - McMillan — Restaurant in Meridian

Really surprised at the horrible service we just received here.

We were actually on our way to a taphouse when we saw this place and decided to drop in a try it instead.

They have an interior and exterior seating area, and both are pretty nice. Walking in we were greeted, and they said to take a seat, and they would come get our order.

We sat outside, and choose our beers. The waiter was at the other table, and brought them drinks. But never came to us. He went back inside (where there was only 3 people at the bar) and talked with the other servers. We waited over 15 minutes, and they never came out.

Well, they did eventually come out. Three of them, to apparently take photos of one of the servers eating ice cream. We called it quits at 20 minutes and left.

It went from a "Hey, this could be a cool place to start going to" to "yeah, let's just go somewhere else" in a hurry. They need better servers before I'd recommend this...

My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to get the opportunity to have our baby shower over this last weekend at Loose Screw Beer Co., and it was absolutely nothing short of amazing. The staff, owner, and bartender was so so helpful with the planning and on set up the day of. They accommodated anything we needed and were prompt with communicating with us. Although I wasn't drinking, everyone that did drink raved about the beer and the selection, especially the hazy IPA! The baby shower turned out exactly how I had dreamed of, and better! The atmosphere (combined with the fact we were blessed with good weather) was amazing. It is perfect for events, or just to come have a drink on their awesome patio. I cannot thank Loose Screw enough for making the celebration of our baby boy to come one to...

Pretty nice brewpub. They had 15 beers on tap when we visited. Varied selection, so they're bound to have something you'll like. The pizza seems to be a work in progress. They have 2 small pizza ovens and are still learning to use them. We ordered two pizzas but only received one. They said the 2nd didn't turn out. They could try again, but it'd be another 20 minutes. We opted for just the one. It was good, but not getting what we ordered was kind of bad business. Generally, I don't think they do table service. We ordered at the bar and had to get our own plates/napkins, etc from a station at the back. Not a big deal, but it might be a surprise to some. As first time visitors we were confused. Overall, decent experience but didn't think it was worthy of its current 4.8...
