I stayed at Lennox for 5 nights in February 2025, I really love that the hotel has this restaurant as it is convenient.
Overall the food was delicious and the service was good. My brother and I enjoyed lunch, dinner and a brunch on 3 separate occasions during our stay.
I’ve come to accept that sometimes service industry lacks respectful, engaging service that is empathetic and meaningful. During our second visit for dinner, since this establishment doesn’t offer non alcoholic beer we decided to bring our own as we had done so just 2 days prior, with the okay from a staff member at the restaurant. For some reason on this occasion it was not okay and OUT OF NOWHERE comes an over excited waitress? and tells us to put the non alcoholic beer away or they can lose their liquor license. This is understandable, but had she said it POLITELY it would have made all the difference.
Imagine a VETERAN who fought for our rights, someone who gives back to his community, is an amazing hard working human and is enjoying a vacation SOBER, truly making his life better and some witch comes out to ruin it all.
It was truly horrible.
Needless to say, I didn’t get this woman’s name but I messaged the Instagram page and was given some more explanations and then offered a non alcoholic beer to ask for during our next visit, which turns out they didn’t even have.
My goal in life is to treat others with dignity and respect, to use empathy and active listening to support others and empower them. My experience here didn’t reflect any of that, I know I shouldn’t expect much from a dinning experience but if you hold your silverware, plates, food and restaurant to such a high standard why don’t you train your staff better? They can then enjoy an extra tip and the feeling that we truly want to be nice to each other.
My review reflects that the service here is terrible and that it affected the atmosphere for my experience and at least the food was great! As someone who dines out a lot, I will go to an okay restaurant that has great service because FOOD SHOULD BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER NOT TEAR THEM APART.
As a Chilean born woman who came to this country for a better life and during this time of much uncertainty, I hope this review can help Amalia work on leveling up their service, maybe make it as polished and pretty as your...
Read moreAt Amalia, the culinary experience transcends the ordinary, especially when it comes to their Eggs Benedict and Avocado Toast. The moment you take a seat in Amalia's cozy, sunlit dining area, there's a sense of anticipation in the air. It begins with the presentation: a visually stunning arrangement that is as Instagram-worthy as it is appetizing. The Eggs Benedict, a classic dish reimagined, arrives perfectly poached, with yolks the color of a golden sunrise, gently nestled on a bed of freshly baked, artisanal bread. The hollandaise sauce, a heavenly blend of buttery richness with just the right touch of lemon zest, is drizzled with a chef's precision, marrying the elements together in a symphony of flavors.
But the true star of the show is their Avocado Toast. Amalia has elevated this trendy dish to a new echelon of culinary delight. The toast, a thick slice of sourdough, offers a satisfying crunch, serving as the ideal canvas for the rich, creamy avocado. Seasoned to perfection with a hint of lime, red pepper flakes, and a sprinkle of sea salt, every bite is a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. It's complemented by a side of arugula salad, adding a peppery freshness that balances the richness of the avocado.
The overall experience at Amalia is further enhanced by the attentive, warm service and the charming ambiance. The staff treats each guest like family, ensuring that every detail of the dining experience is perfect. Whether it's a leisurely brunch or a quick breakfast, Amalia's Eggs Benedict and Avocado Toast are not just meals, but a celebration of flavors, making each visit a memorable gastronomic journey. This delightful breakfast duo has set a new benchmark for morning indulgence, leaving guests eagerly anticipating...
Read moreOur first night of our vacation landed us here for dinner, as it was a nice easy walk from our beachfront hotel. The restaurant is tucked up on a side street, and is a lovely indoor/outdoor restaurant. It is very clear why this place gets rave reviews. The restaurant inside was empty when we arrived so we felt like we were having this incredible private dining experience. The staff were very attentive ensuring we were well taken care of.
There were five of us, so we ordered the bread, brussels sprouts and warm brie to start. The bread was interesting, it was a very small little round loaf of pull apart pieces. My husband who is a big bread person could have easily eaten half of it, if not the entire thing. I ordered the Pumpkin And Ricotta Ravioli, which was good. Ordered at the table was also the Mushroom Risotto, Porcini Ravioli, Grilled Branzino and my husband ordered a pasta dish with shrimp. He was a bit disappointed that there were only a couple of shrimp. The food was clearly made very fresh to order, which was wonderful. We enjoyed the meal and service very much... I think for me the disconnect is with the prices (e.g. $24 for a moderate amount of Brussels Sprouts) and the portions. Considering location, and everything else I totally get it but it still seemed a bit pricey for what landed on the table. While it was very good, it was not great... although the staff and ambiance...
