Flying amidst the clouds, it's truly magical. The sunlight filters through the thin layer of clouds above, illuminating the cascading clouds below, creating a silky, lustrous glow. The scene is soft and warm, making you feel safe and comfortable, as if everything is perfectly arranged, leaving no regrets in your heart~ Minneapolis, Dong Hae Korean Grill & Sushi, the taste is [thumbs up]👍 #Travel #Clouds #Sunlight #Minneapolis #KoreanFood #Sushi #Foodie #Wanderlust #NatureLovers #TravelBlogger

I think overall this place is not too bad. A lot of the things were pretty good. We took a friend here for her birthday and got the AYCE Korean and sushi. Most of the sushi is pretty good and the appetizers were spot on. We got spicy tuna rolls, mackarel nigiri, rainbow roll, some appetizers, and some other random ones (I think we ordered one of every specialty roll). The good stuff: The goods far outweigh the bad and I try to be as fair as possible! The mackarel nigiri was great as well as most of the other specialty rolls. The spicy tuna roll was also excellent, it tastes better than other AYCE places I have been to. The highlight might have been the spicy tuna rolls to be honest. The people serving us were also nice and attentive, it seemed like they were super busy.. Meh stuff: The seafood and kimchi pancakes were a bit cold, but they weren't too bad. I think they would have been better warm. It was a little disappointing because I LOVE getting the seafood pancakes (pajeon). The bad stuff: The ones I would avoid was surprisingly the kimbap. The meat ratio was way too much (to the point where it was overflowing) and you might say "who wouldn't want more meat?". But I think with kimbap there needs to be a balance, the excess meat made it a bit dry. The rainbow roll was a bit dry (like the crab meat was dry for some reason) and kind of inedible so we didn't finish those... I think overall this is a 4 out of 5. Good customer service with a decent selection of Korean food and sushi for their AYCE menu. I would maybe come back again for only certain specialty rolls and what not... And avoid my favorites.... Kimbap and pajeon. Food: 3.5 out of 5. Environment: 5 out of 5 (nice and clean). Customer service: 5 out of 5.

Went here with a party for the Korean BBQ without knowing too much beforehand. When we got here, we learned about the "all you can eat" (AYCE) option and opted for that instead, and we were not disappointed. The AYCE comes with a sheet that you check off what you want delivered and you have 1.5 hours until they kick you out (obviously, you cannot take anything home and get charged if you order too much without eating it). Unlike other restaurants I have been too, the AYCE comes with a CRAZY amount of high-quality options, including their sushi, sides, appetizers, and soups, that can come to your table and share amongst your party. Of these perhaps my favorites were the miso soup, chicken wings, and bibimbap, though there were many we did not order. I personally did not like the sushi we had, but some people did. But the main course is obviously the meats, which you can order 5 of (at once) for your table. We tried most of the standard beef and pork options, of which my favorites were the marinated sirloin (by far) and also the spicy pork bulgogi. There was a large variety between the meats, so it was interesting to try different ones. Along with all the sauces, it was very easy to have each bite be a bit unique, though I do wish they had a larger variety of sauces available. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and also the experience, as I never really had the much variety of high-quality foods before. The one negative (besides the sushi for me) that I would mention is that the service felt a bit slow at times, especially for the meats which took time to cook so felt essential to have that quick. However, some parts we ordered did come quick, so that did keep us satisfied. BTW, the popsicles at the end are a very nice finisher!

So good LUCK finding this place. If you didn't, you probably made a good choice to go elsewhere. To start, had we known it WASN'T all you can eat for the KBBQ we would have not even gone. As we walk in we get the stink eye from the girl at the hostess stand, as she seats us she tries asks if we know what we want already and we say its our first time to this location and we need a minute to look. She comes back about 45 seconds later asking again if we were ready when we'd barely opened our menus let alone know what we want. We open the menu and see "18% Manditory Gratuity Added" on the KBBQ page of meats and I instantly picked something else. Then after we were pestered with the first 2 minutes it took over 10 minutes and us going to get someone to have any one come back to take our order. The food comes out in waves so we are forced to start eating before everyone gets their food otherwise it'll be cold. I ordered the Red Dragon Sushi roll specifically because it didn't list avocado as an ingredient(im allergic so i try my best to avoid the ones made with it if/when i can) and when it came out it 100% had avocado on it so I had to send that back. THEN comes the 4% surcharge on ALL Credit/Debit Card transactions that isnt stated ANYWHERE UNTIL YOU GET YOUR CHECK. Now, this terrible service however does not detract from the food that I must say does taste great. Everything was full of flavor and seemed really quality, but the prices and specificly the extra fees(FOR WHAT THEY ADVERTISE IN THEIR RESTAURANT NAME) that they gouge you with on the back end of everything really just puts a damper on the whole experience. We will not be returning to this location and thats not because we don't live here, it is because of the undeniably bad service and unreasonable fees they nickel and dime you with.

This is the best Korean food I've ever had! My daughter loves Korean food so we've tried other places but I've never been a fan until now. Even the side dishes, which tends to be bland, were actually flavorful. We ordered so much; beef soup, chicken katsu, monkey brain sushi roll, beef bulgogi, and two other dishes. The portions were large too. The servers were so nice and one of them even checked to make sure we were eating one of the dishes correctly for our best experience. Can't remember the name but it's the pork dish you pair with lettuce and kimchi. She also gave us tips on how to pair certain dishes and sauce for the best flavor. My fav 2 were the chicken katsu and Korean chicken wings. Based on other reviews about dislike of the multiple servers, portion size, and extra charges, I have to say that I disagree. Portions were sharing size. There was four of us and we were able to share each dish. I liked having more than one server because it was the second one who taught us how to eat the dishes correctly. She even caught that one of our sauce was missing. We did not get the automatic service charge because we were below 5 people, but we did get a surcharge for paying with a card. For me, this is fine. Many other places charge this fee as well. Atmosphere was very chill. There are some things I feel they can improve on. It was already a cold and snowy night. Their vent was blowing air and made it pretty cold where we sat. My soup turned cold quickly. The place was not too busy but looked messy - the kind of mess that stacks up over time. Mostly by the front entrance and back grill tables. Lastly, they need a proper sign for their front door. The entrance is the side door from the parking lot.
