UPDATE: Toma Mojo always delivers! Good service, delicious food, great flavors!!
Tonight I decided to get takeout and opted to finally try Toma. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with brussels sprouts on the side, and two sauces (creamy herb aoili and spicy piri piri). Ordering online was very easy and straightforward!
When I walked inside the person at the counter greeted me with a smile. The pickup shelf was right by the counter where you order, and the employee directed me to my order. The interior of the restaurant was welcoming, clean, and comfortable.
The smell of my food filled my car and tempted me the whole drive home. It tasted as good as it smelled! The brussels were AMAZING, crispy and well seasoned on the outside but tender on the inside. The sandwich was very tasty, but the bread was a bit soggy/greasy on the outside, which likely is due to 1) me being 10 minutes late picking up and 2) the 10 minute drive home. I'm sure it would be better eaten fresh.
The sauce was such a great addition to the meal. The herby aioli was creamy and flavorful and the spicy piri burned my tongue in the best way. It would be great if they included 1 sauce with every meal, although they were worth the $1/each.
I will definitely add Toma Mojo Grill to my rotation of takeout...
Read morePretty disappointed with this place.
Ordered a Burger with fries and a Spicy chicken wrap that was initially 15.50.
The burger and patty were almost child sized, the bun was soggy, and I finished it in about 4 bites. Fries were pretty good but the Brava sauce on both was pretty bland. Would have preferred just ketchup and mustard. For the price I wish i had just ordered a real burger from a sit-down place for pickup that would have been more substantial. I have had sliders that were more filling.
I also got the spicy chicken wrap for 2.99. Asked to sub the sauce for another and to add tomato. Was informed when i got there that to do that it would be an upcharge of 2.00. Ive worked in restaurants for much of my adult life and to almost double the price of an item for two little slices of tomato and sub out a sauce is pretty ridiculous.
After spending 18 dollars and eating a pretty disappointing meal I stopped by another place on the way home to grab a slice of pizza so I wouldn't still be hungry at my desk for the rest of the day.
Was very excited due to the reviews. Maybe they were having an off day, although the place was pretty much empty. Needless to say I regret...
Read moreEdit: Back 10 months later. The music is still so weird and off putting inside. You’ll get more in person clientele if you change this and make the vibe more upbeat and even remotely familiar pop. It’s a strange mix of offbeat deeptrack indie music being played so soft that you can hear kitchen, conversations, feel like you need to speak either softly or whisper. Like you’re riding in a kohls elevator in the 90s and a random family with their grandma stepped in and killed the vibe.
But the menus expanded to bowls which is amazing.

Simple menu and great quality. Prices are right. Sauces are where Toma shines. I’m working my way through the list: the red mojo sauce is watermelon if that’s not your thing. Citrus Piri Piri was great for chicken. Officially addicted to the brava sauce that comes with the fries; I’d buy a gallon if allowed. Expect a 3-5 min wait after ordering if you’re taking out.
Also, I’m lactose intolerant and have peanut allergy - no issues with any sauces I’ve tried yet.
Chill vibe inside, might feel a bit bare. There’s like a new age beats playlist which seems off for the space but it does give off more low key energy for a...
