Sushi is not my first choice after a heavy night of drinking but my friend recently expanded her palate to Sushi so we were going.

Food:

Apps - got the Chicken KkanPungGi for the table. We didn’t love it cause it was super sweet but there was a ton of chicken and I kept picking at it throughout my meal. I guess I low key liked it.

Main - they have lunch specials every day! So exciting! Until we get the soup/salad and realize it’s not much of a deal at all cause it’s so poorly put together. This salad was exactly what I expected. The miso looked the same

I ordered the Pink Salmon special roll. Basically a roll with a bunch of salmon thrown on top of the rolls with spicy mayo. It’s one of those rolls that are larger and harder to pick up. I hate when I order those type of rolls and I never know how to tell the style of the roll before I order. I didn’t enjoy it because the taste was off, the taste was great. I just don’t enjoy eating sushi with the larger rolls. My man ordered the Volcano roll though which is a classic so I was satisfied since we traded.

We ended up asking our server how to know what rolls are rolled in the compact way and what rolls are rolled the larger way. She thought we were complaining about our food LOL. Eventually, she came back with a complimentary 3 piece roll for us to try. I’m down for that miscommunication cause that was the best sushi out of everything we ordered.

Atmosphere: decent amount of seating. Service was quick and friendly although they may misunderstand you for complaining and offer some sushi complimentary. That’s not a bad thing haha!
