Sushi is not my first choice after a heavy night of drinking but my friend recently expanded her palate to Sushi so we were going. Food: Apps - got the Chicken KkanPungGi for the table. We didn’t love it cause it was super sweet but there was a ton of chicken and I kept picking at it throughout my meal. I guess I low key liked it. Main - they have lunch specials every day! So exciting! Until we get the soup/salad and realize it’s not much of a deal at all cause it’s so poorly put together. This salad was exactly what I expected. The miso looked the same I ordered the Pink Salmon special roll. Basically a roll with a bunch of salmon thrown on top of the rolls with spicy mayo. It’s one of those rolls that are larger and harder to pick up. I hate when I order those type of rolls and I never know how to tell the style of the roll before I order. I didn’t enjoy it because the taste was off, the taste was great. I just don’t enjoy eating sushi with the larger rolls. My man ordered the Volcano roll though which is a classic so I was satisfied since we traded. We ended up asking our server how to know what rolls are rolled in the compact way and what rolls are rolled the larger way. She thought we were complaining about our food LOL. Eventually, she came back with a complimentary 3 piece roll for us to try. I’m down for that miscommunication cause that was the best sushi out of everything we ordered. Atmosphere: decent amount of seating. Service was quick and friendly although they may misunderstand you for complaining and offer some sushi complimentary. That’s not a bad thing haha!

I normally don’t give reviews, but I’m compelled to write about my experience at this restaurant. I am not from the area but I was there for a meeting. We were hungry and looked up a near by sushi restaurant. Found this place with decent reviews and decided to give it a try. We were very hungry and received our order pretty quickly. Everything was flooded with mayo and sauces. You couldn’t see what was in the rolls because of all the sauce on them. The sushi pieces were humongous! The taste was not that of sushi. It tasted like raw fish that you bought at a fish market several days ago. Literally disgusting! I ate some kani salad, toro bomb and 1 piece of the “sushi”. We decided not to eat most of the food, thank god! We packed it to go so not to insult the staff and dumped it in the garbage can outside of the restaurant. Worst of all, I didn’t sleep all night. My stomach has been hurting for 24 hours. Definitely, not tasty and NOT fresh! Save yourself, don’t eat here!

This is definitely my favorite sushi place in northern Jersey! I’ve been here many times since I moved up here and they’ve been consistent every time! I’ve even gone several times since the whole Covid situation and they are still amazing! The fish always tastes fresh and high quality. Tonight I got the Yum Yum Roll, the Volcano Roll and the Spicy Shrimp Dragon roll (all amazing) the specialty rolls are pricey but not more expensive than other sushi places in the area. They are also very filling. 3 rolls is enough for 2 people for sure. The staff and owners are all super friendly and are always welcoming! They are a big part of why I keep coming back. If you’re in the mood for sushi this place will not disappoint.

I decided to round up from 4.5 stars. I’m from Chicago and the tuna sashimi at this place is the first that has the taste of Japan fish markets (I’ve gotten used to tuna sashimi with little flavor and tastes like nothing). Here for a three day business trip and ordered their Chirashi bowl twice over the three day period. I would opt for the miso soup side here, I found the salad and ginger dressing very underwhelming. Minus .5 stars because on my first order at 8pm the rice on the chirashi was hard/not fresh. And one the second chirashi the rice was normal but there was no radish in the bowl! I love the crunch. So hoping there will be better consistency. Would definitely order from here again

Phenomenal experience. The staff is incredibly patient and attentive. They really buttoned up every detail from filling our water, bringing extra dinger, and these potato bites. The regular rolls and specialty rolls a fresh and delicious. My friend and I both ordered and enjoyed the 3 roll combo, a sushi entree. We had leftovers. 2nd visit, just okay: It was very crowded and busy on Friday night. The food was good, but we waited 25 minutes to order. It felt at times that we were forgotten. We had to request dishes for soy sauce and glasses. Don’t go here when it is very busy.

I’m gonna start off this review by saying “WOW!!” Absolute BEST sushi I have ever had! PLENTY of signature rolls to choose from, along with the classics, with fresh ingredients. Even the way they present the sushi to you is amazing! Very reasonably priced with large portions for your money. The customer service is also superb! They are very friendly and extremely appreciative of their customers! The staff made sure to greet AND say “goodbye” and “thank you” to everyone that walked out of their doors. My boyfriend and I will definitely be returning!
