So this is my third time going in there and once again, I’m not greeted with a smile they’re just standing there at the register because I’m not a regular. their regulars get treated with so much respect and they greet them perfect I put my order in for my food and my drink and me and my daughter go sit down and wait, after a little bit a girl calls my name I don’t see who it is but it was my name being called so I assumed my food and drinks are ready and walk over. There’s two drinks and A bag with two of the platters inside so I grab the stuff and go drive all the way home to find out that that wasn’t our food so I called to let him know and he tells me I’m assuming this is the owner. I’m not sure, but he tells me that it’s my fault because I was only supposed to take the drinks so then I tell him I’m gonna drive back I just want to refund and then he hangs up, I get in there I start talking to him he’s cutting me off the whole time every time I said something he cut me off then two of his employees jump in as well Remind you I’m speaking to the owner he don’t stop them now I have three people saying stuff to me, and then there was a customer that was in there a older white lady shaking her head and huffing and puffing because she’s friends with them I felt like I was attacked. I asked for a refund again the 2nd time and he told me no he’s not giving me a refund. Actually I’m getting extra food that somebody else ordered. I have no idea what’s in that bag and don’t plan on finding out. and he’s losing money because he had to remake the other person‘s food because I took the bag I think he’s very unprofessional. He seems to have anger issues and laughs about it to cover his own insecurities and I just think if you don’t want to be in an awkward situation because you’re not happy about how something was handled and how you are spoken to don’t waste your time going there because they’re gonna make a big deal and they play victim really good. Talk about Ken and Karens and they’re gonna tag team you and I do have a voice recording clip you can hear them all talking to me at the same time cutting me off every time The fact that he only cared that he was losing money because he had to remake another person‘s food because they didn’t tell me that wasn’t my food and just stuck it up there and called my name just shows me it’s all about money for them and who they know Then told me my food was still fresh so when I got home, my cheeseburger was cold I payed $36.83 for my food I will definitely not be going back not that it matters because he just seems all in his head, I like how his other employee said to me, the food is a gift for you just take it and I like how he laughed about everything like he was doing me a favor refusing to give me a refund. I just wanted my money at that point and I wanted to just go so not only did I lose out on money I got stuck with food I didn’t even order so good luck on your location. I hope you Do better, and treat people better……….. I definitely love my freedom and will never return on that note don’t waste your time to bad I couldn’t put the voice clip on here a lot of people would look at them...
Read moreOrganic, grass fed, and beef tallow; all things that don’t matter when they are not properly executed. Also, a good portion of this business is centered around selling alcohol, which is literal poison for the human body. So is this is a healthy business model, or just a money grab based on a fad?
It’s difficult to shock me, but finding out today that they charged us $3 for each time they dumped coffee into our mugs; it both shocked and disgusted me. They do not state on the menu that they do not give free refills on black coffee, nor does the server tell you. If a business is going to charge $18 for two people to sit and drink coffee, they should give a new cup each time so the customer actually gets $3 worth of coffee each time. Topping off the top 1/3 of someone’s cup like they did to my husband, and charging them $3 is ludicrous, and I have never seen this practice in my life. I’m fairly sure the coffee from Lancaster is not organic, so why so expensive? Our server also took my coffee mug at the end of our meal, and I didn’t push it to the side or give any indication that I was done with it.
As far as food goes, I tried this place for brunch and for dinner. We were not offered anything besides well done on our thin burger patties. The sweet potatoes were black and tasted burnt. The chicken was overcooked and the chicken sandwich was dry. We had one good server and one that wasn’t that great. Even if we weren’t grossly overcharged for the coffee, the quality of the food wouldn’t keep us coming back.
I gave this place two tries, and will not be going back for a third time. I was hoping for a good brunch spot, but there are much better options, like Fresh in West Reading, or Crooked Hen in...
Read moreIt was my first time in and everything was great! I'm not sure what another one of these reviews is referencing with regard to poor service if you are not a regular - we were greeted with the utmost kindness by all of the staff members we interacted with.
The only disappointing thing about my meal was that they had sold out of most of their gluten free desserts by the time I finally made it in later in the day - but that was on me, and a testament to how delicious they must be. Next time I will be sure to go earlier :) I was very happy with my cheeseburger on a gluten free wrap - the beef was very high quality - you can taste the difference! My Mom had a veggie and hummus naan which she really enjoyed, and they were more than accommodating to our dietary preferences/special requests. Looking forward to coming back the next time we are...
