As you know, if it isn’t worth talking about, I won’t review it. Noodles & Rice Mongolian is a bowl worth talking about:

Local, Fresh, Fast!

Blown away by the service, but most importantly the food.

Immediately entering “Noodles & Rice Mongolian” my wife and I were warmly greeted by the owner and we were promptly shown to our seats.

We were not left to figure everything out on our own, the owner guided us through the every step of the process from building the bowl to table service, she was fantastically informative, and described the freedom you have to make your food exactly how you want it! Don’t worry, go more than once and you’ll have the process dialed in.

We presented our bowls to the competent kitchen staff and had our food delivered at our table within a few minutes. There are soft drinks (Pepsi), sweet and iced tea, water, lemonade as drink options available to meet your specific beverage needs.

My wife decided on the “Tiger” sizing option and I was convinced I could tackle the “Mega Tiger” bowl size. My wife built a sweet and sour chicken and pork noodle bowl with a medley of vegetables and could not finish it as she was full halfway through. I built a heaping Mega Tiger noodle bowl that was a specialty-built variation of a Spicy Mongolian Beef. I struggled to finish it, but honestly couldn’t stop myself, it was that good. We even purchased our fur-family a takeout order of beef, rice, and carrots which the staff gladly prepared in a dog-friendly manner.

The restaurant feels like small town cafe and that is perfectly fine, everything was clean and comfortable. The patronage is what makes the experience anyway. It felt like a family run business should. There are booths to seat one or two and smaller families, as well table spaces to accommodate larger parties.

The prices cannot be argued…for what you get the prices are comparable to most made to order establishments and honestly worth every penny, I have paid much more for far less.

Everything was incredibly fresh, Everything was incredibly clean and the final product was absolutely delicious. Satisfied, I felt as I could have been “rolled out” after finishing my Mega Tiger Bowl.

This has definitely become one of our weekly “must haves”. I suggest you give it a try...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Stars – Unmatched Mongolian Flavor at Noodles & Rice Mongolian in Mountain Home, Idaho!

Oh. My. Goodness. If there’s one place that deserves to be shouted from the rooftops, it’s Noodles & Rice Mongolian in Mountain Home, Idaho.

At 48 years young, I’ve enjoyed Mongolian cuisine all across the United States, from big cities to small-town spots—and nothing has ever come close to the meal I had here. This wasn’t just dinner. It was a soul-satisfying, flavor-loaded, life-changing experience.

The moment I stepped inside, I was welcomed by a warm, vibrant atmosphere—the kind that instantly makes you feel at home. The aroma of sizzling stir-fry hit me like a promise that something incredible was about to happen. And it did.

The menu is a build-your-own paradise: fresh, crisp veggies, tender marinated meats, and an all-star lineup of sauces to customize your perfect bowl. I went with a spicy-sweet combo—juicy beef, bright veggies, and their signature Mongolian sauce—and I’m still thinking about it. Every bite was packed with bold, balanced flavor that lit up my taste buds like the Fourth of July.

The noodles were perfectly chewy, the rice fluffy and fragrant—each bite soaking up that savory sauce like it was made for it. And the portions? Generous, but so good you won’t want to leave a single bite behind.

What truly sets this place apart is the people. The staff were welcoming, efficient, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You can taste the love and care in every bite.

Noodles & Rice Mongolian isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a destination. It’s the kind of place that makes you wish you lived closer just to eat here more often. Without a doubt, this is the best Mongolian food I’ve had anywhere in the country.

If you’re anywhere near Mountain Home, don’t walk—RUN—to Noodles & Rice Mongolian. Your taste buds will thank you, and you’ll leave grinning from ear to ear.

10/10. Perfection in...

We took my son today for his 15th Birthday, by his request. We have a younger son who has a shellfish allergy. I called ahead to ask if it was even possible to keep our younger son safe and they assured me with all the details of the process they do to keep the shrimp separate and the separate cooking station. Wow! It was a great meal and the owner herself, Tess I believe, made sure the kitchen was aware of the allergy and that all precautions were fallowed. The waitress, cooking staff and all were awesome. The kitchen and food area all very clean and open for the customer to see all. We will definitely be back....

Visited early on a Friday evening to dine in. I was seated immediately, was able to place my order easily after asking about some of the options on the menu. I went with the build-your-own-bowl, tiger (medium) size. They had a good selection of veggies, generous amounts of chicken/beef/pork, and were happy to let me pile as much as I could fit in my bowl! The lady that was running the kitchen was happy to help me select sauces that would go well together with my food, and she was done cooking my meal quickly. The food was excellent, the quantity was generous, and the service was first rate! Will definitely come back again.

Everyone was really nice! The only difference between this place and other Mongolian places is they use oil only to cook everything instead of water. So you have to use a lot more sauce than usual but it's so worth it! The meats weren't frozen when they cooked it and they slice it fresh. The food itself was amazing! The flavors were great, the meat was tender, and it filled our stomachs fast! Hands down the best Mongolian place we have been to! On top of that, the customer service and the owners were very welcoming and social! Hard workers!
