I've been driving through Nacogdoches for years and I finally had the time to stop at this awesome diner. Local artwork is all over the walls from all ages. Check out the hallway to the bathrooms. Elizabeth, the floor manager, was my waitress. She was extremely helpful with the menu and helped me save money. The "Create Your Own" omelette is your best option if you know what you want. Find out these are little more than a four egg omelette and they're whipped up really nice. The hash browns are sliced no more than a quarter inch thick and they're fried to perfection. Great crunch! Sometimes when you order toast it's really thin and flimsy but not here. Thick and hardy. Grateful that omelette sandwich. What other thing I noticed is that the staff usually have a smile on their faces. They also work together like ants - never standing around for more than a minute. They're constantly helping each other out to make sure the customer experience is #1. My coffee never ran dry. I have the chance to talk to the owner, Miss Dollie, and she has a great business model and I had to brag on her staff. This is truly a family-owned and run restaurant. I highly recommend that you make the effort to stop by and enjoy this family environment and awesome food!! If there was six stars I would give it to them.

This is one of the spots to go to when visiting Nacogdoches. Was not expecting too much, just a quick breakfast, and we out. I will say the place gets pretty crowded, however, they got us a seat fast and everyone was full of energy, appeared happy, and made sure we were taken care of. The man who seated us was running all over the place, setting up silverware, leasing other employees, and had time to check on is to make sure everything was good. Our server was kind and she has that welcoming personality. I ordered chicken and a waffle. Now that was some good chicken. The outside was as crispy as I would want, and the inside was VERY tender! Was still hot when it reached me and I enjoyed every bit of it. The waffle, well for the most part, is just a waffle. It was well cooked and there was a bit of extra vanilla flavor which I actually appreciated. What I did have an issue with was the water. It was warm so did not enjoy as much as I would have liked. My girlfriend ordered eggs and she said they were good. She would have liked of there were more gluten free options. Still, overall, I liked the experience, and if I return to Nac, that will be the place to eat at. I recommend y'all try it out.

When traveling through Nacogdoches, TX, Dolli's Diner is definitely a place you will want to visit. We found this gem of a place today and we're quite impressed. This cute restaurant is nestled right on the corner of the lovely old down town square. The atmosphere is fun and inviting. I can't say enough for the food. We had fried green tomatoes, a fantastic meatloaf sandwich on sourdough bread with onion rings, the bacon cheeseburger, and a classic cheeseburger (both with fries.) We ate till we couldn't eat anymore and then packed the rest to go. 😋 Betty Boop seems to be their mascot as she is displayed among what looks like a local artist's paintings that they have showcased around the restaurant. Some of the paintings are even for sale. This home grown restaurant has been around for 6 years which made it through covid, and rightly so. The down to earth friendly employees and atmosphere combines with great food is a must see. You won't regret the experience. You can also conveniently walk off some of your meal and stretch your legs by strolling around the beautifully well kept historical town square.

Our rogue hunting party departed camp in search of pancakes, burgers, and coffee. Our kids LOVE pancakes and these were scrumptious (added chocolate chips) and a side of sausage. Our 7 year old tried his first burger & started guarding it. He said the crinkle fries were perfect. My husband and I got bacon cheddar burgers and everything from the meat, fixings, and bun was juicily melting in our mouths. I got coffee, too - a couple of cups, tent life is no joke. The boys swore our waitress was one of Santa’s spy elves because she was so happy & eager to please, I think she just had loads of coffee, but the kids were well behaved so yes, spy elf she was! We didn’t stop there. Chocolate chip buttermilk pecan topping pie. Where the everloving elf dessert has this been my entire life??? She gave us two slices, I guess because she felt we may fight over just one. Elves…. Needless to say, we ALL can’t wait to go hunting again, so we can escape to Dolli’s and feast! Sorry about the pictures. I’ll snap a few before we eat next time. We just didn’t know it would be SOOO good!

Wanted to have a Monday breakfast for Labor day. We head to an old favorite and find out it was closed for the holiday. Decided to look for something around town we hadn't tried before. We ended up choosing Dolli's and we are so glad we did. We were seated and got drinks almost immediately even though the resturant was almost full. The coffee came out in random coffee cups, which was entertaining. I ordered the trucker special with corn beef hash and my beautiful date had the lumberjack with biscuits and gravy. She says it was sausage gravy and it was really good. Our eggs were all cooked perfectly and all the food was delicious. The pancakes were light and fluffy and the corn beef was served flat with both sides browned nicely. We enjoyed the meal so much we decided we would try to make it a monthly trip. Thanks to the staff and especially the cook.

My husband and SFA student-children love this cute diner. We love their malts!!!! Update: My husband and I ate at Dolli's Diner again this morning. The restaurant was steadily busy and noisy with the chatter of nine tables of happy-looking customers. The food was hot, fresh and delicious! I had a chicken fried steak with sawmill gravy, home fries, scrambled eggs, a biscuit and orange juice. My hubby had French toast, eggs over hard, home fries and orange juice. The home fries were overly crisp, but they didn't detract from our lovely breakfast at Dolli's. Both the chicken fried steak and French toast were stellar entrees! Parking was free but a little hard to find nearby. Dolli's is located in a safe, well-lit area. The restaurant was clean, and its well-stocked restrooms were clean and well-lit. Recommended!
