My two children and myself had brunch here Sunday morning around 10. We waited a few minutes for seating. As we walk to the back of the restaurant I can see every table is full, and there were a few people behind us in line. I didn't catch our waitresses name but she greeted us almost immediately and got our drink order. Throughout our interactions and her having several tables she always had a smile, was kind and never let our drinks get empty. We decided to be rebels and get the strawberry shortcake for breakfast, the build your own omelet (ham, cheese and spinach) and the hills, I believe. Everything was soo good! The omelet and scrambled eggs were so light and fluffy and cheesey! The biscuits and gravy had big chunks of sausage and was a good consistency, not too thick and not too runny. I didn't even salt any of my food. The seasoning was just right for us. And that strawberry shortcake.... it came out looking promising. Promise delivered. The strawberries had a sweet syrup (I'm guessing it was a simple syrup) with them and the cake. The cake was moist and had not quite a crumble top to it. From what I could tell a homemade whip cream but it was thicker and creamer so I'm also wondering if it had whipped cream cheese folded in. Either way I want it as part of my final meal on this earth. You should definitely try this sweet little gem of a restaurant if you find yourself in Nashville.

It was a busy Saturday. I was with my sister & adult granddaughter. We put our name on list at the counter. It didn't take too long to be seated. My Service experience was completely related to my server and I can't compare to others. My granddaughter asked for a root beer, my sister & I only water. After watching other people who arrived after us get their beverages, my granddaughter had to ask about her beverage. The server said she didn't in hear her order it. I believe she took our order on an order pad, but if not, had taken the time to list the options available and was looking my granddaughter straight in eye when the order was placed. While we waited, we all commented on the poor acoustics in the place. It was so loud that it almost sounded like everyone was screaming. Food arrived before too long. But the first plate set down (mine) was incorrect. Instead of tuna melt, it was some kind of turkey sandwich. The server gave the others their dishes & said she'd check about the tuna melt. Not once did she come by to give an update about the status. I did get my side order of fries, but everyone was almost done eating by the time I got my sandwich. Now for the food. My granddaughter said her burger was extremely bland & should have been seasoned better before cooking. My sister had some onion soup and she felt it was also bland. I finally got my sad little tuna melt. It was a thin slice of bread, with a little tuna salad in middle (maybe they forgot to spread it out? On top was some sprouts & then topped with a slice of yellow cheese. I was so disappointed. And that was the large size order. I don't...

We visited while in the area after seeing glowing reviews and a recent article online highlighting the food.

Our waitress, Susan, was WONDERFUL! She was very friendly. She seemed overworked but still was with a smile and very pleasant!

The food was TERRIBLE 😱. Susan did dixojnt the meal for us and charged for only our drinks and what we ate. We decided to let the owner know and also ensure that we left the “food” amount as a tip. The owner was working the register and he was THE WORST! Upon telling him what happened he immediately got very rude with us. He said “you didn’t like anything?”with attitude. I explained I was very picky, but unfortunately I didn’t. He continued to be super hateful as we continued our transaction. I asked for a copy of the receipt for ourselves (I planned to give it to the waitress to let her know we left $40 as the tip) and the owner threw the receipt across the counter very hatefully to us.

I took the receipt to Susan who I found helping another table. I waited for her to finish and stopped her along her way back to the drink station. I explained we were grateful for her positive attitude. I asked her to confirm the man at the front was the owner and she stated he in fact was. I told her we wouldn’t return again, because of his hateful attitude towards us, but we truly appreciated her and her kind and inviting attitude.

If I could give the restaurant negative stars I would. With 5 stars for the service from Susan!
