Decent place food was ok just ok not the best just ok. My son was disappointed because I hyped this place up in there heads. He said his food tasted like they cooked it and reheated it again so did his fries he hated it. My other friend said her sandwich tasted the same. I'm guessing it was made before our other plates were made so they had to reheated there food. Calle Ocho is alot better. Don't sit on the second table when you enter when the band is playing you will regret it. It is too loud you wont be able to talk. I took my teenage sons and my disabled daughter to celebrating their graduation. We couldn't talk once the band started playing. The speaker was aiming directly on us my son got migraine that he had to put his head down because it was way too loud we just stopped talking because we couldn't hear each other. Place was full couldn't change tables because it is not a large place. My disabled daughter couldn't finish her food she was annoyed she left most of it. After we finish eating the band stopped playing. So we decided to stay for desert because it was calm. The desert took about 20min or more "too long" we was about to cancel it but it came. As soon as the deserts were placed on the table the band came back it was like a twilight zone. I was joking about this moment with the kids "desert comes band will come". We got annoyed we swallowed our desert "it was good" and ask for a check. We was so in a rush to leave that we forgot our leftover bag. We was willing to go back because we only walked six blocks. I called and ask them about my bag they knew who I was but they said they threw it away. It was 90% of her food "$21 gone". Never again normally I give second chances because we go to alot of local mom and pops restaurants but never again. I regret taking my kids. Staff was nice that's why I gave it a second star but I do recommend this place skipping this place Amor Cubano. I would not recommend eating here or to...

I wish I could give a 3.5-star rating, as there were aspects of the experience that I really enjoyed, but some areas left me wanting more. First, the live music was fantastic—it created a lively atmosphere and really added to the overall vibe of the evening. The customer service was also impressive; the staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived.
As for the food, it was a bit underwhelming, especially given the anticipation I had. We ordered the Mariscada and the Paella, two dishes I was excited to try. Unfortunately, they were just fine—not bad, but definitely not as flavorful or exciting as I had hoped. They lacked the rich, bold flavors that you’d expect from these types of dishes.
That said, not everything was a miss. The Tamarindo Mojito was a standout—it had the perfect balance of sweetness and tang, and I would definitely order that again. My personal favorite, however, was the Plátano Chips served with garlic sauce. The chips were crispy, and the garlic sauce was absolutely delicious, making it one of the highlights of the meal.
If the main dishes had matched the quality of the drinks and appetizers, this would easily have been a higher-rated experience. With some improvements in the kitchen, this place could be a solid choice for a night out, especially with the excellent ambiance...

The empanada de carne (beef empanada) was very good: not oily, robust, flavorful filling, perfect exterior. The sauce that came with it was also very good. The tamalito de Olga was good, very good corn flavor, inconsistent distribution of meat (there's very little meat, it's mostly the corn). We also enjoyed the plantain chips that are free on the table with the cilantro mayonnaise.
The star of the evening was the yuca relleno. WHOA. Would go back just for that. A whipped yuca encompasses a finely ground beef filling, with a light fried exterior. Covered in a cilantro, mustard, mayo dressing. It's great.
The arroz con pollo is solid, strong tomato paste flavor and tender chicken (good mix of dark and white meat). Finely sliced peppers are fantastic in it, served with some delicious maduros.
The lechon asado is mediocre and we wouldn't order it again. The moro (rice & beans) was good, with nice cumin. The puerco (pork) itself was fairly dry and while it shredded easily it wasn't tender, it was also not salty enough.
The staff...
