Anil's Roti Shop — Restaurant in New York

This place is the worse Food & Beverage establishment I've ever stepped into!

To begin with, customer service is extremely horrible, I cannot even begin to give a comparison to any other competitor. They EXCEL at POOR customer service! I'm not from around that area, but I'm aware of some of the delicacies and I was craving for some. I stepped into here and asked for "Black Pudding", they gave me a tray that was LITERALLY cold, I'm guessing "Ok, it's probably not high demand so they make it and store it".

I then proceeded to order, I seen they had egg ball curry, I inquired if it's chicken or fish... guess what?!?!!? INSTEAD of the server answering, ALL of the FEMALE staff behind the counter started laughing. I ignored it and proceeded with my order because I needed to get to work immediately. They finally confirmed it's chicken so I ordered that with fried rice, paid and went home.

GUESS WHAT?!?!? As soon as I got home, I heated the black pudding up and tasted it... It was stale, as least a week old $12 down the drain.. I then opened my Egg Ball Curry, GUESS WHAT AGAIN? It was Egg Ball Curry with Dhal and Rice... I DON'T EAT DHAL, I WANTED FRIED RICE!

All in all, If you want to get some good food and customer service, Head to Sybils or Singh's.

Being A Very Old Customer To This Establishment, I Must Say That I'm Very Disappointed With The Service That These Newcomers Provide, They're Not Only Rude And Obnoxious And Tend To Ignore You, They Rush Like It's A Race Even Though I Was The Only Customer In The Store! The Way That The Girl Picked Up The Curry Potatoes And Dropped It Into The Container Today, Was Really Mean, She Acted Like She Was Handing Food To Someone Contagious With Something, She Closed The Container So Quick, I Couldn't Even Ask For Pepper, I Went In There To Buy Food For Five People, But Left With Only One Meal! All Because Of Those Johnny Come Lately Servers With A Whole Bunch Of Bad Attitude! Never Again! Let Them Try That Nonsense Back In Guyana Where They Come...

Love the new chic/modern design! This mom and pop shop has truly made their mark by stirring up the attention of the community! The upgrades made to both the interior and exterior make Anil’s place stand out in South Richmond Hill! Besides the beautiful remodeling, the food is amazing! Nothing compares to a home cooked meal and that’s exactly what Anil’s offers, food that makes you feel like you’re home! You can absolutely tell that the people preparing the food put their hearts into it! Not to mention, how friendly and welcoming the staff is. And if that is not enough to draw you in, they have some of the most reasonable prices on Liberty! Make sure to check out this hidden gem.
