CAVA — Restaurant in New York

Horrible first time experience at this location. I understand they are new but you didn’t take enough time to teach customer service. This is a prime time location for corporate america so for 1 thing they are extremely slow. Go into the store and theres people waiting all over the store. They have 2 people on the line and 6 in the back, makes no sense. I asked for a chicken shawarma bowl. They tried go charge me extra for avocado. I said it’s included in the ingredients and I showed her the menu on my phone and the price. She kept saying no it’s extra and I said ok I’ll just order on my phone. I came order and asked for pita. I was told that I could not have my pita warmed because they already cleaned the machine. It was 930pm. They close at 10pm. Staff was very rude and dismissive. I didn’t even continue with my order. Also because the counter tops where the food was was also very dirty. Did not look appetizing

I was looking forward to the opening, and I hope it will stay in business. So I’m suggesting a few feedbacks from my recent visit: The staff should be trained with portions. Anecdotally I saw them serving more generously to the big man in front of me. As a small person, I’d hope I get the same value as everyone else! During rush hours the team is trying really hard to move the traffic forward. I hope they can be more friendly in the future when things aren’t so...
