Possibly the worst dining experience of my life. No it was the worst. !!
The hostess couldn't have cared less about us.
Our service started out ok than rapidly went downhill.
We had just drove 4 hours to the airport and we were pretty hungry. So what better place than a diner!! We ordered and I had asked the server for a few things on the side when we ordered.
Once the food arrived and none of the other items I had asked for came ever. We both looked at the food and than looked up at each other and just started laughing!! We often share our food and I counted my very small portion of French fries and there were 11!!!! I said if you touch one of these fries you are dead. We laughed. The cheeseburger was so small it was basically a roll with a burger that would be a slider at other restaurants. Total waste. And just to add insult to injury they charge $3 for chesse !!!
My partner got a NEW YORK Rueben. Again both of us thinking how could that be screwed up. A classic for NYC. Well they did not give that justice. The sandwich only had 4 pieces of corned beef and it was so chewy that my dining partner was begging me to trade my pathetic half of my cheeseburger. And since he was the one flying out I caved.
So we had 2 lame cappuccinos, a cup of chicken noodle soup and the sandwiches!!!! We kept thinking how hungry we still were and thought about dessert but never saw the waiter again.
Than we got the bill !! My partner got it and he just kept staring at it. I said is it wrong? He said no its right but guess how much it is?? I wasn't really sure how much. Than he said......$50.00. I was in shock and now pissed. Now a bad / joke of a meal was an insult.
How dare this place rip people off. The only food option is this place in terminal 4 before security. So you are pretty much screwed. When we left the hostess, of course, when I asked to talk to a manager was looking at me like why. And she basically said there isn't one. I don't know what that means. They are not there at the moment. Or there is no management at all.
It would be interesting if anyone from management even reads theses articles and comments and if you do. Please call or email me so we can talk. This is a case where I won't hold my breath because they really don't care.
I don't know who is operating this place, an independent person, the airport, or a food service company, but you should be ashamed of yourself and your food and service. I want my money back. But god knows that will never happen. What ever you do there is a Dunkin' Donuts about 200 feet away from this place. Go there. You can't really screw up a...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars i would. This was my 3rd attempt at eating there. First time took 30 min to be seated and another 20 just to get soda so we left. Second attempt took 10 min to be seated and we ordered food, off to a good start and then 40 min later no food, they said 20 more min (we were 1 of maybe 5 tables filled) so we walked out as we had a flight to catch.
3rd attempt was today, we walked in with about half of their tables (or less) filled. We asked for a specific booth as we wanted to sit away from people so we could have a private conversation. They refused to let us sit there because we were 2 people and it was a 6 person booth.... Ok... We get it. So we let them sit us elsewhere. I asked for a booth and there was ZERO regard. We got sat right in the middle of other tables at a rickety 2 top. The table was embarrassingly wobbly. To be honest the table was clearly broken and shouldn't have even been on the floor. So we just scooted to the table next to us. We had 3 suitcases and 2 backpacks so we needed the space anyway. They immediately told us we couldn't sit there and MUST move back to our original table. I asked why and she said "its for 4 people" to which i said they werent even barely busy and the table was unacceptably broken. She rolled her eyes and asked us to get up and move across the diner to another 2 top.
At this point i believe its been way too much bad service. If you cant sit your customer at a table they want (no matter the reason) and then you sit them at a broken table and roll your eyes and make them move AGAIN after they are at a perfectly acceptable table.... That is just enough.... I opted to leave. I had given this establishment 3 tries and have been met with either rude or slow service every time.
After reading reviews about the food and having a sensitive stomach myself i am glad I...
Read moreMy thing is if I’m gonna pay money to eat please take care of your customer..... I’ve been to many diner some of them you just look at them and you just would not want to eat in them... this diner it’s in a terminal of an airport people from all over the world are coming to this establishment and for the price that they are paying to eat there they should at least have some hospitality.... I was disgusted with the service of the staff first and foremost and the food was neither burnt or cold... we had to wait at least 40 minutes before I had to ask for service to order my food and then another 40 minutes for my food to arrive cold and burnt I don’t know if this a everyday thing or just that shift that want to get paid but not work.... if I was the owner of that place I would diffidently make some changes or soon I’ll be loosing my business to someone who would actually care... I didn’t want to tip the waitress but the company I was with just said leave five dollars so that they’ll know they did bad service.... I honestly wanted to walk out after the first 20 minutes if it wasn’t for my son that had just came from a 15 hour flight and was hungry.. first time and my last I should have just gone to McDonald and had better service..... there’s for my review of this place shame on you guys to treat customers the way you did.......
