4 years ago I would've gave it 4-5 stars but sadly it has degraded to crap. The restaurant itself is like any other chipotle you've been to bar the seating arrangement, and it gets very busy. All the ingredients in each chipotle product have been prepared before they've even been shipped, so of course the food is always the same. So it really doesn't make sense to grade it on this front.
I mean their excessive skimping on food and constantly trying to make shortcuts with any little 'important' thing in the burrito. They put very little meat on every order now, to the point where a double meat burrito today is the equivalent to a regular burrito 4 years ago. I am talking maybe 10~ tiny pieces; I can find more in a cheap hotdog across the street. Despite having to charge extra for guac they even put the least amount possible for that too. I don't know if this is because of incompetent workers or them trying to pinch every penny they can get, but the result is an immensely overpriced meal. They do, however have the nerve to fill it up liberally with rice and lettuce, ingredients which are dirt cheap and give the illusion that the burrito has size.
Normally I wouldn't mind but the fact the price has not only remained high, but has risen more to at least $9 for the smallest possible order makes it inexcusable. This company rakes in billions of dollars every year and tries to cater to young adults with their pathetic, juvenile "nobody should work" poetry in their bags, the least they could do is maintain their proportions. I recommend skipping this one out of principle or buying a double meat order if you are willing to spend (effectively costing you $12~ not even counting drink or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe first person servicing me misunderstood my order (he did not speak English). I wasn't mad about it, but he was because when I just asked for the right order (another employee communicated it) he gave me conspicuously less food. I decided to run with it but then I asked if my burrito could be placed in a bowl (because it was poorly wrapped), and they said they could not do both. At this point I asked for a refund and they asked me why. I said it did not matter, I would just like it processed. There was back and forth but then they said they could not because a manger was not in. I asked for the refund policy, and they did not give me it (which is legally required by NY law). I pulled up the refund policy for them and they handed me the managers card. The managers card led to a catering order line. I called the formal customer service line and they tried to give me a free entre instead of refunding me. They said that they would send a request in. And now I am praying I get refunded for a burrito that I did not eat. But with all the trouble, I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited Chipotle with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience fell far short of them. The customer service was abysmal from the moment I stepped foot in the door. The staff seemed disinterested and indifferent, barely acknowledging my presence, let alone offering any assistance.
To add insult to injury, the quantity of food served was laughable. I felt like I was being rationed with each ingredient, as if they were trying to stretch their supplies as thin as possible. The portions were so measly that I left the restaurant feeling unsatisfied and hungry, despite paying a premium price for what was essentially a glorified snack.
I understand that fast-food establishments can sometimes struggle with consistency, but this level of incompetence is inexcusable. It's clear that Chipotle needs to reevaluate its priorities and invest more in training its staff and ensuring customers receive the value they deserve. Until then, I'll be taking my...
