This is an actual review. Not the over 100 fake/bogus ones. I mean come on.
I live nearby and decided to give it a try. It was around 6pm on a Sunday and upon arrival there was only two other people. One waiting for food and the other, ordering with me. There was one employee, but that's ok because service was quick. But it was not busy at all.
Because it was not busy, the fries were not fresh. They were warm but not hot. Soggy and not crispy.
The original sandwich I got was also slightly warm, but the meat was not hot. The employee did not fresh cut meat from the spit at all and instead used meat from, I assume, heated compartments stored somewhere in the work area. I can understand using this method if things are busy and you are trying to save time by not slicing everything fresh. But when there are only a few people, it would be very appreciated if the meat was sliced fresh so it's nice and HOT. I wouldn't mind waiting a few minutes extra for this at all.
Same with the fries. If the fries have been sitting awhile, make a fresh batch. I would happily wait for fresh fries or at least be given an option.
The flavor of the sandwich itself was good. I would get it again. The pita was a bit tough, but not terrible. Softer would have been nicer.
Overall, I will come back because the sandwich was good and reasonably priced with solid portions of meat in it. But I hope in the future, things are hotter and fresher. It would make the experience 5 stars for me.

Read moreFirst time I walked by this place before they opened, I had to laugh at their branding and prepare myself for a mediocre fast casual kabob spot. To my surprise when they opened, it turns out this is a very serious place… cause their food is damn good.
I had the mixed wrap and shared fries and it was a ton of food! Not only was it a ton of food but the wrap was filled to the brim with meat and veggies, the fries were well seasoned and portioned!

Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely amazing! Doner Haus NYC has some of the best döner I’ve had outside of Germany. The meat was flavorful and tender, the bread was perfectly toasted, and the sauces tasted fresh and authentic. The staff were friendly and fast even though it was busy, and the restaurant was very clean and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back — this place really brings a taste of Berlin...
