My wife and I had to go to a wake in the neighborhood and looked on Google Maps for the places to eat nearby that were open a little late afterwards. We settled up on this place.

The food was out of this world fantastic. I ordered the "Magic Combination" for one and my wife ordered the daily special which was a roasted lamb shank.

The appetizers they came with were excellent, we were served Shepard's salad, hummus, babaganoush, falafel, olives and stuffed grape leaves alongside some fresh warm pita bread. We enjoyed the babaganoush so much that we asked for a little container to take some home.

The entree portions were generous and prices were extremely fair. My "magic combination" came with the option to select three of the meats they offer; I had lamb kufta, lamb kabob and chicken kabob. It came on top of a nice serving of fragrantly seasoned rice and with some steamed vegetables. My wife's lamb shank was a think of beauty, the meat was slowly cooked and fell off the giant bone. She also had rice and vegetables.

We asked for an order of baklava to go. The gentleman brought us containers to pack up any leftovers we had. He checked on us regularly, kept our glasses full and was extremely polite and professional.

The price we paid for our meal was absolutely reasonable considering the quantity and quality of food we received and the service was great. I told him as we were leaving "we will definitely be back again the next time we are in the neighborhood" and I really mean it.

I would 100% recommend this place to friends and family, it's a really nice small local restaurant offering excellent food for a fair price. I look forward to going back again. I wish I had taken photos of our dishes but they were so good we began eating them without a...

Our host Rani is a warm, hospitable guy. Good dude to talk to - I can tell there's absolutely some sales experience there, based on his banter with us + also how he greeted the other guests who came in. He took real good care of us. Admittedly some NYC diners don't like waitstaff with too much personality (and having worked that said, there's deffo a time and place for it, or not) but we are HERE for it.

Food:

Salad: I usually skip these. This one was nice! Dressing was bright and pleasantly tangy/tart. SDJ: lentils. nice and hearty. This bowl with a slice or two of bread could have been a full meal. 6-piece falafel: never had sesame on falafel! That was a new one. Okra & lamb daily special: my god, this was nice. Lamb was hella tender, and that quality ran really nicely with the okra. Overall a nice hearty dish on a chilly December afternoon.

it's a big menu and I'd go back to a) chill with Rani and 2) order some more. Syrian/Damascus is not a common offering in the NYC food scene, so - good people of Bay Ridge (and beyond),...

We went here for my sister's birthday on a Sunday evening. There was five of us total and we all ordered something different. I had the chicken kebab platter as an entree and it was absolutely delicious. My fiance had the lamb shank and he said it was so so good. My sister has the vegetarian combination salad and said it was fantastic. We all enjoyed the food greatly. Everything was super fresh and well-flavored. The service was also excellent. The chef and owner came out to wish my sister a happy birthday and gave us a bunch of free desserts (including baklava that was out of this world). The staff were all super friendly and wonderful to us....

The restaurant is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. They prepare Middle Eastern cuisine. Soups, salads, appetizers, entrees, platters, pitas, wraps, sandwiches, sides, desserts and beverages are available. I ordered an appetizer for two people. It included hummus, babaganoush, four falafel balls, four stuffed grapes leaves, fava bean salad, tabbouleh salad and moussaka. The pita chicken was made with small pieces of diced chicken with a sauce, lettuce and tomato. The pita was very soft and broke up when attempting to eat. The food was average in taste, flavor and preparation. Friendly and helpful staff.

I love the Fort Hamilton area. Mom, who is wheelchair bound, and I came across this gem. (If the doors were not opened, and a chalkboard, street menu outside, we would have passed by it.) We ordered spinach pie, cous cous w/chicken which came with salad and pita bread (the good kind!) Dessert was warm baklava. Delish! The food is made fresh, so you have time to relax an chat. I came back a week later for lunch. I ordered the Thursday special which was spinach pie, falafel, baba gahanuj, hummus, tahini sauce, salad and warm pita. Fabulous! Topped with honey cake. This has become my favorite place.

Very delicious and fresh food. The lunch deals are a great deal and it’s plenty of food. Hearty but not heavy. I would definitely come back. The spinach pie was perfect! update: I came from out of town and I’m still thinking about this restaurant. The owner was genuinely so kind and this meal was a highlight of our trip <3 He gifted everyone in our group calendars. I added a photo below so you can see!
