I visited HolyCow on June 27th. Notice shortly after that the cashier that took my order was also the cook, he walked away to the back. Was only seeing one person through the door walking back and forth. He did not wash his hands or had gloves on. I was looking at him how he was rushing to prepare my chicken sandwich and fries. Waited for almost 30 minutes, there was only one couple ahead of me. And 2 other tables were occupied with people eating. When he brought me my meal Finally!!! the bag was stapled so I opened it to see what he put in there because this was my 1st time visiting the joint. No Napkins, just the chicken sandwich and very greasy fries. I took the fries out and told him, I cannot eat this. It's too greasy and and burnt he answered me by telling me I needed to wait 48 hours to get a refund. I told him 48 hours, I did pay cash and you did not provide me my receipt. So this other dude stepped in and was trying to figure out how to print the receipt out. Meanwhile I see the 1st guy that took my order and prepare my meal walk to the back and throw the fries back into the batch of other fries sitting there. I mean after I took those fries out of the bag it should of been trash but he was planning to sell those fries to someone else. NASTY!!! Not to mentioned waited an additional 10 minutes for the receipt and my money back. Also I paid for a drink and I had to remind him where my drink that I paid for. And he charged me an extra 3 dollars for one slice of cheese on my sandwich. Geez...Inflation is killing us. One only good thing I could say that the guy was nice. That's it. I will never go back though. They are unsanitary. I rather drive out of my way to BurgerFi on 86th Street. The burgers there are grass-fed and there chicken steriod free. And definitely the food 100% way tastier and healthier.**
*Response to owner:Thank you for replying back, even if you make the changes. It's a thing for me and the public we want things done right the 1st time. I could gotten sick if you would of given me a bacteria from not washing your hands. The prices are over the roof when buying fast food. We do not need to get sick as well. Clean up your act, hopefully your business would become successful in the future. But unfortunately I feel safer and have peace of mind going to my usual place on...

Sunday night⌠and the family is craving a good burger. You know that feeling. Who better to trust than Google? With a 4.8-star rating, we decided to make a detour off the highway, adjusting our navigation to find "Holy Caw", located at 4113 Avenue U, Brooklyn.
Parking? No problemâthere was plenty of street parking available.
Upon walking in, the first impression was disappointing. The place wasnât as clean as one would expect from a restaurant. Still, the staff was very friendly and helped us place an order for two Holy Burgers with a side of french fries, along with a medium-sized onion rings. We opted for takeout.
Payment: They accept credit cards, but be aware that thereâs a 3% surcharge for card payments.
Now, onto the food. Portions? Generous. The burger was large, and the french fries portion was big enough for two adults.
Taste? Unfortunately, this is where things went downhill. I ordered my burger medium-rare, but what I received was a flat, dry, and uninspiring patty. The dressing inside the burger had an unusual taste, which seemed out of placeâmaybe it was meant to mask the dryness of the meat. To make matters worse, the ketchup provided was watered down and had no real flavor.
Given the hype and high rating, I expected much better. I honestly feel bad for those who rated this place 4.8 starsâit just didnât live up to expectations.
Would I return?...
Read moreI donât normally leave reviews, but this experience really stood out â for all the wrong reasons. When I walked in, I was shocked to find that there was only one employee running the entire restaurant â taking orders, cooking, and managing everything by himself. Because of that, I ended up waiting over 45 minutes just to get my food.
To be clear, the person working behind the counter was doing the absolute best they could under the circumstances and deserves serious credit. Honestly, whoever owns this place should be ashamed for leaving one person to run the entire operation alone, and they absolutely need to hire more staff. That employee deserves a raise just for holding the place together.
Now for the other issue â the restaurant itself looked and smelled terrible. The whole place gave off a neglected, almost abandoned vibe. The most off-putting thing? There was an actual spider web stretching from the ceiling lamp to the cookie counter. Thatâs just unacceptable.
Until they clean the place up and hire more people, I wouldnât...
