Food was decent but service was average to low, a reflection on management.

Been to 2 other Prince Tea House locations multiple times and this was the first 3/5, first to lack in quality and service. Usually 4 or 5 when I go to a PTH.

First I was sat at a table that had not been wiped down and was provided a chipped tea cup ( I assume they didn't notice and most of them are chipped. It's happened at other locations but the servers usually let me know or replace it once they notice). I didn't bug anyone about these things, hopefully kids don't use these cups. Also either need to replace the utensils or polish/store properly after washing bc the fork I got looked bad. Didn't get a picture but was one of the roughest looking forks I've ever seen in a restaurant đŸ˜¶

Got the afternoon tea set that was $30 per person. The "finger sandwiches" provided were mid. The spreads and cucumber tasted like they were either left outside too long or been stored/exposed too long with other things in their fridge leaving an odd taste. The scone and desserts were nice. They weren't too sweet so I enjoyed them the most (as always). I got the earl grey milk tea which did not come out until I finished the first tier. It was 10 mins since I ordered. Tea was wonderful but I didn't get to drink it all since it came out late and I had to leave in a rush.

My server was the hostess and also seemed to be serving 3 tables near me while other staff members looked like they were hanging out in the back, and came out to help when it got busier or when she needed help. Since she was busy, no one checked back on me and it was a very mediocre experience from food to staff.

Apparently this kind of service is common here and it wasn't just my experience. My friend who was here at the New Dorp location 3 times before without me (didn't come this time) stated the same thing about staff and service during her visits. She still likes going to PTHs for the desserts.

I liked my server/hostess. Kind and looks like a hard worker but seemed like she was worked a bit too hard during my visit. I hope there's more training, and staff improves on their on customer care so people feel like coming back more often. I hope they get the right incentives too, like good pay and proper treatment from management. Seems like this location and other PTHs are all slacking over the years. Times are tough, so definitely get it, but businesses that start lacking in care and service don't thrive. I would like to see this chain grow, with more on their menu, better care in and out of the kitchen, and then hopefully I can come back in the future to change this rating.

This is a reflection on the...

Prince Tea House in New Dorp has quickly become one of my favorite go-to spots on Staten Island. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is warm, charming, and beautifully designed—perfect for everything from a cute date night to catching up with friends or even enjoying a solo tea session. The decor feels upscale yet inviting, with elegant touches that make you feel like you’re in a little slice of a Parisian cafĂ©.

The tea selection is incredible, offering a wide variety of traditional and modern flavors, from floral to fruity, herbal to creamy milk teas. Each cup is brewed and presented with such care—you can tell they take pride in the experience they provide. The desserts are just as amazing. Every slice of cake, tart, and pastry not only looks Instagram-worthy but actually tastes rich, fresh, and balanced. My personal favorites are their mille crĂȘpes and lava cakes, which are both indulgent without being overly sweet.

What really makes Prince Tea House stand out is the service. The staff is consistently polite, knowledgeable, and attentive. They take time to explain the menu if you have questions and check in just the right amount without hovering. I also love how clean and well-maintained the space is—even during busier hours, they manage to keep everything running smoothly.

If you’re looking for a cozy, aesthetically pleasing cafĂ© with delicious teas and desserts, this is the place. Whether you’re a tea lover or just someone who enjoys a great atmosphere and excellent treats, Prince Tea House in New Dorp is absolutely worth the visit. I can’t...

Funny thing is which I have realized after visiting so many different restaurants is that ;

When you visit second time they definitely don’t treat you like the same. Unless you are really famous or you are a everyday customer who spends good amount of money. So from now on I will try not to go back to a place I went before!

One of my all time FAV place! Just went there yesterday for the first time. The stuff were so very nice & helpful. I took a lot of pictures & made a lot of TikTok’s & not a single stuff give me any bad vibe ! Some places you know you can just feel they are not happy you staying there ! Like the other tea place I was just there in Brooklyn!

I wish it was near to my house, it took me very long time to go theređŸ€Šâ€â™€ïžbut I will definitely come back here soon.

The colors, the vibe, decor & the food was great. The restroom was clean too!

Funny thing is I didn’t know the color was green for this tea place & I went there wearing green. When you look at my pictures you will think I definitely planned thisđŸ€Ł

Because the food obviously not halal, I had to go with fish, seafood & vegetarian! I got shrimp lolypop, curly fries , mango milk & rose milk. Rose milk & shrimps lolypop is my fav.

I was actually there for a long time, I saw so many people just chilling there. Some doing work on leptops. I finally find a place where I feel welcomed & also respected. When my classes starts I will be going there to finish my projects !

Thank you for the great service! I do not have a single complaint about this place.

Everyone go...
