So this was my first time ever in 13 years being kicked out of a bar.
I have no idea what I did wrong and I wish I did I literally was standing talking to two of my friends, mind you I wasn’t belligerent drunk I had two drinks Gin and tonic.
I am puerto Rican and black so I’m not pulling the race card since the bouncer who kicked me out was either Mexican or Peruvian.
I attempted to ask why I was being kicked out for standing and talking I’m 34 years old I’m not some young person who can’t handle LQ…
I attempted to ask why I was being removed from the bar and the guy said I will tell you in front of the bouncer which I agreed to with no resistance.
I calmly walked out of the bar with him and at the door he hardly pushed me out front and went back in to not intail why I had been removed.
I spoke with the bouncer and apologized not knowing what I did and complimented him kindly on his tuxedo and didn’t make a scene out of the situation, however I honestly wish I just had known what I had done wrong to not make the same mistake going forward at any other bar and was never given a reason or explanation why I was being removed and I’m not mad I’m just sad that I’m unable to correct whatever mistake may have been wrong in the eyes of this bar.
I will say I will never come back here again and don’t advice anyone to come here due to the pricing of drinks and crowdedness and it’s misdirection of what’s available at the times such as the back yard being closed at 11.00 PM, and the prices for 4 drinks being oversold 100$
Would have fathered spent my night in Brooklyn if it weren’t a close friends birthday.
Any hoot, I wish I knew what I did wrong to be removed from the premises it would have st least made me a better person going forward to know to be a sheep.
I don’t hate this bar note.. I just wish they were empathetic to at least correct whatever mistake I may...
Read moreThis could’ve been a totally fine and un-noteworthy experience, but the service was bad enough to shift any neutral feelings I originally had to negative ones. The bartenders were both cold, they just stared at our entire group blankly and said virtually nothing. When asked the price of a drink, the bartender proceeded to make the drink immediately without giving the price, charge a card and then later present the bill. The built in gratuity made the price even harder to swallow - if no service was provided, you shouldn’t be forced into a set tip. On the up swing, the bartenders refunded the drink without complaint, so we appreciated them correcting the miscommunication. Despite that, it was still an unfriendly environment to spend time in. The environment was alright, with pleasant lower lighting but otherwise minimal effort put into decor or ambiance. Prices aren’t listed, which is a little off putting to people that are cost-conscious. If you don’t post prices, you should be more than happy to discuss the drinks and prices with guests who care, but that was the opposite of the case. Maybe it’s better for dancing? It seems like there’s set up for that later at night. Drinks were decent, nothing fancy but tasted solid. Ultimately though, it wasn’t worth the money and wasn’t a comfortable environment to be in. If the service improved I could see it being a decent spot to visit!
Cost: -built in 20% gratuity -basic cocktails (mixer and liquor-$14 total) -higher abv cocktails $19 after...
Read moreCame from out of town and went to this place last night and the bartender was just off to the side eating dinner and watching TV. Got ignored for a good two minutes before deciding to sit back down and wait for him to finish his dinner. The place was pretty empty and there were only 2 other people by the bar. We were surprised when he walked up to our group and yelled that we had to order something because they “don’t offer free seating” and stormed off before we got a chance to explain ourselves. After letting him know that his behaviour was rude and that we were just trying to be nice by letting him finish his dinner, he told us that he “speaks to everyone like this” and that “we just stared at him with our mouths open”. This all could have been avoided had he just asked us nicely whether we ordered drinks - especially since we were trying to be considerate of his break time. We ended up leaving because we felt very unwelcome and disrespected by the...
