I visited this burger joint 😋 on the advice from a customer while standing in line at another burger joint "The Place" (now they have a Great burger) located on PCH in Corona Del Mar. Hopdoddy Burger Bar is a very nice modern burger place and they have an OK burger but truth be told the burgers at "The Place" are by far the "Better Burger" I ordered their Classic Burger with cheese and bacon, fries and a beer, the burger was smaller than I thought it would be and a bit mushy the ingredients were fresh and overall it was tasty, the fries were just ok nothing to write home about and the beer was Great it came in a schooner mug and was very cold (nice touch) but I was not impressed with the overall meal experience. They have a full bar with great selection of tap beer and spirits, the staff is friendly and courteous the menu is limited but with good selections, the next time I visit, I will try their spicy chicken sandwich. This was my first time eating here and I did not have a bad experience I just wasn't overly impressed, so I'll eventually go back and try something else on their menu. But if your in the area give them a try and have your own experience, they have a crazy sounding burger made with grass fed beef that sounds pretty good so give them a try and let me know what you think @ Smokey Fred says 😉 (instaG) Tell them Smokey...
Read moreI’ve been to the Scottsdale / Austin locations quite a few times, so I was excited to check the Newport Hopdoddy location out. On average, I think the food is still good but the portions are small for the price.
I ordered a Big Parma sandwich (not a usual menu item) and Parmesan truffle fries. The fries came with an aioli and are meant to be shared among 2-3 people. The fries are thinly cut and very crispy, which chunks of Parmesan/salt sprinkled copiously. The bread is soft, the chicken patty was thin, and there was not as much sauce as I’d hope for. It was a bit bland; during previous visits to other locations, the burgers were huge and more flavorful, so it might’ve been an off day. One salad option is available, and you can also opt for lettuce instead of a bun.
You order/pay first before being assigned a table. No cash, only credit/debit cards accepted. Dine-in (indoor & outdoor) is available during covid. Parking is free as this is located in Fashion Island, but you might need to circle around a bit to park close if you’re visiting on a weekend.
The employees were nice, and helpful when we asked for a box. You can fill up your own water at the soda fountain (press the black tab underneath the ice). Bathrooms are available outside, down the hall to the right (public...
Read moreI had dinner here recently after a movie at Regal Edwards across the street. A friend recommended Hopdoddy, and it didn't disappoint. We grabbed a table on the patio with a fire pit after ordering. Indoor and bar seating are also available.
All the burgers and menu items sounded tasty. I ordered the Thunderbird, a chicken patty burger cooked perfectly with fresh and well-balanced ingredients. The burger was delicious and satisfying. The side of Hand-cut fries was good, but after trying my friend's sweet potato fries, I felt a little regret for not ordering one myself. I highly recommend the sweet potato fries if you're undecided.
The beer menu has rotating selections from local breweries, craft cocktails, and standard fountain drinks with free refills to satisfy your thirst. I opted for a fountain drink this time, but I'll have to try a brew next time.
The staff was excellent throughout our dining experience, from ordering to preparing our food quickly and changing out the propane tank for the fire pit at our table on the patio.
The vibes are chill at this spot in Fashion Island, where people shop and stroll around; it's perfect for relaxing with good company, a drink, and delicious food—cashless payments only during...
