It is really unfortunate to come across a restaurant with lack of integrity towards their customers. We went in Tuesday around 4pm and we were waited by a rude older blonde woman who had such a snotty attitude and seemed to not want to work at all that day. Like I get it, I myself am a server but I would never pass that energy to my guest knowing they decided to come dine in here instead of go anywhere else. Upon paying, I usually always check the bill but since my father was treating me I just checked the total to calculate the tip amount. The total without tip was $198. He payed cash. After leaving my father told me he thought it was too much for what we ordered which then I checked the menu online and calculated the amount and it came out to be much less than what we were charged. My father and my sister decided to go back the next day to figure out why he was overcharged. The owner then said she did not know how to work the system to pull up the receipt from yesterday. So they told her then to input our order into the system to see what it amounts to and as we expected it was MUCH less than what we were charged. It is unfortunate to come across a business that is dishonest and to have employees that steal from guests and in their moment of just admitting to being honest they don’t. Read moreWhen I first walked in I thought I walked into the wrong restaurant because they were blasting Spanish music when I was expecting to walk into a Japanese sushi restaurant, and when I sat down, I realized that in the kitchen they were also blasting Spanish music, but it was a different song/radio station that one of the employees was singing along to.
I was so confused, but if you look at the name of the restaurant, it is a mix of Japanese and Spanish, after all.
I couldn't really find much for me to eat as a vegetarian. I chose edamame and Hummingbirds, which are stuffed jalapenos, but even then it looked like it had crabmeat.
If you love seafood ("marisco") then this is the place for you.
The place itself is clean and the walls are nicely decorated with flowers and plants.
Our waitress was so attentive. She was quick and patient. I could just make eye contact with her and she knew to come to our table.
It's a fun and interesting mix of cultures and the service is good, just beware that there won't be much to eat if you're...
Read moreSumabi has the BEST Baja fish and shrimp tacos in the Inland Empire! Their fish was perfectly battered and cooked. The coating was soft and the fish was so moist. What gave the taco its wow factor was how fresh the fish, and sauce worked together. If you’re brave…make sure to get the salsa it packed a delicious punch. I could not stop dipping my taco in the salsa. It’s sweet with a nice heat! The shrimp taco was super RAD! I love that they melted cheese to the tortilla and that yummy guac cilantro cream sauce was out of this world delicious! If you’re a local you have to come and come and eat here! Maybe one day we can get Keith Lee to come to verify how AMAZING this place is. The cleanliness of the place was very impressive and the owner is super friendly.
