Burger King — Restaurant in Norfolk

This location is NASTY, I wish I could rate them a, zero. The unprofessional manager they have there (4/4/24 around 2:20pm)by the name of Jason or Rob (whatever his real name is) with the missing/rotten teeth & tongue piercing. This manager got upset due to me questioning him about, why would he let a off duty employee come in from off the street with a backpack on & street clothes, come straight in the store, proceed behind the counter and make himself a oreo shake, no gloves, didn't was hands, nothing, chat with employees that were working & then left, the "mgr" said nothing? This same manager let another employee wear a white durag, scratching in his head, no gloves, etc and his response to me was, "he wasn't serving the customers. " Proceeded to call me an "idiot" because, the comment of not serving customers has nothing to do with, the cleanliness presentation, hygiene and overall food handling protocols that should be in place. I then went inside to get this mgr name & my refund (due to me being in the drive thru). The mgr see's me coming in the store & go into the office & stay. I had to get one of the workers to tell him to come out. I'm not sure what the "franchise owner" requirements of this location for managers are, but the requirements can't be much. The food establishment permit expired in 2022 and that proudly hangs on the wall, with 2 inch dust on it. Another customer came out behind me saying how rude that particular mgr always is & how he continuously locks the doors to the lobby during daytime hours, in which he done the same thing when I was sitting in parking lot calling the health department. Came to this BK on my way back home from dropping my family at the airport. I’m pregnant and had my 4 year old son with me, and we decided to stop here for breakfast and a potty break. It’s 9:30am. We go to enter the dining room and the door is locked. One of the female employees asked me through the door if we were trying to use the bathroom to which I responded, we were. She then came to unlock the door for us but then stopped and told me that her manager told her she couldn’t because they were “on lockdown” to which I asked, why? I also informed her that we were still planning to buy food. She just shrugged and said that they weren’t open inside, only the drive thru. So I went through the drive thru and asked to speak to the manager who told me her name was “Kim” and waited. I asked why they weren’t opening the dining room when the hours displayed outside say they open at 8am. She rudely responded “I thought you had to pee, why are you still here? You’re an adult” closed the window on me while I was talking and I honestly could have escalated the situation and smacked the mario coins out her uglass, but I digress. I just came back to VA from North Philly so I’m used to horrible customer service but “Kim” needs to tread lightly because she could’ve easily come in contact with an even crazier person than myself and now everybody on WorldStar cause you didn’t wanna let a pregnant woman and her 4-year old use the restroom. If i could give this a negative 1 star i would..(Issue 1) i arrived to the burger king drive through with the intent to place 2 orders. I had an order and my son had an order..i was told that wasnt allowed and i had the option 2 either drive around the drive thru twice or come in 2 place the order which meant that i would have to sit behind the car in front of me just to get through. I ended up sending my son inside to place the second order.

(Issue 2) i have a big family..Your coupon for $12.99 which includes 3 whoppers and 3 whoppers jrs and 6 fries would have both saved me money and fed the majority of us..I was told it couldnt be honored because they didnt have it in the system. Im a mail carrier, I started delivering those flyers with the Bk coupon on Tuesday..Today is Saturday..They arrived to my post office on Sunday. This means that these coupons have been authorized by BK for at least a week. For this particular franchise to not have their system updated to allow customers to utilize them is an absurdity.

The total amount intended to spend to feed a family of 7 was $18 plus tax. I would have used the the $12.99 deal. My son was going to use the $4.99 2 chicken meal deal.

I ended up spending $21 plus tax and still didnt feed everybody..I didnt order enough so I was short 1 meal..I...
