This is a beautiful place to enjoy lunch or dinner. The food was very good but you would expect a certain level at the featured restaurant at the North Palm Beach Country Club. Went went with reservations in a group of 4 on a Friday at about 630pm. It was very loud from the live musicians playing throughout dinner. It was loud enough that we asked to be reseated outside even though it was a little chilly. It was totally impossible to have any conversation with the guests we were dining with and they understood and located a 4 top outside. We had a good dessert pizza and hats of to the chef for the mushroom flatbread. I'm a pizza lover and pizza maker so I'm giving 5 stars for the pie. The short ribs were just average and not especially good and arrived plated at room temperature. The facility was very busy so things happen and not anyone's fault-it's just easy to prepare that dish and serve hot with veggies, etc. My wonderful friends enjoyed salmon and the other dinners were not really mentionable. The French fries were fabulous and were served hot. Sometimes you need a regular fry to satisfy the appetite. You can tell them Peter loved the fries!
Service was okay but not really special in any way. On arrival the host was just but did have the reservation and obliged the request to sit where we could talk a little with one another. This was a very important time for our family to be together at dinner and to listen to a mom who suffered a tremendous loss. She was the one who spoke with the server and manager about eating outside so we could talk and it was not possible with the very loud music coming from 2 venues. We were there from the beginning and at the grand opening of the club. I know people in this town deserve a couple notches up and I could suggest a long list of great places to eat and relax. I do hope we come again we live in old Port Cove and meant neighbors are members who love the club. I would always love to give...
Read moreThanksgiving at the Club House: A Disappointment , I approached the Thanksgiving buffet at the Club House with anticipation. Unfortunately, the experience was nothing short of a disaster. Upon arrival, we wandered around the clubhouse, searching in vain for the dining room. Eventually, we stumbled upon the buffet, but found no one to guide us through the process.
It was around 2 o'clock, and we were among the first guests. After finally securing some food and sitting down, our meal was interrupted a mere ten minutes later by a Latino man who began asking us numerous questions. When I inquired if he needed assistance, he summoned another manager. They informed us that we were seated at a reserved table—a fact of which we were completely unaware. When I asked which tables were available, I was directed to the bar area. Despite the dining room being nearly empty, my request to reserve a table was met with repeated instructions to move.
Reluctantly, we relocated to the bar and I approached the hostess stand to speak with a manager. There, a rude woman informed me that I had to sit at the bar and that she would not tolerate any argument, threatening to have me leave if I persisted. My simple inquiry about making a reservation was met with hostility. Later, I learned from the bartender that this woman was the General Manager, which explained the pervasive rudeness.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against dining at the Club House. The staff's lack of courtesy and understanding of good service was evident throughout our visit. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this establishment if you value respectful and...
Read moreAs frequent visitors to Farmers Table in Boca when we are in the area, we were excited to try this new location. We came for happy hour and ended up staying for dinner. The space is absolutely beautiful. You can see elements of the original Farmer’s Table but with the unique North Palm influence. There are two bar areas so we did walk around trying to decide where to sit. One area had a more clubhouse/golfer feel and the other breezy outdoor dining feel. Happy hour is 3-6:00 pm, and when we arrived at 3:00, the vibe was chill. There were decently priced drinks and munchies, which were like a small plate version of items from the regular menu. This is a great way to sample the regular menu. If you’re looking for $1 drafts and a $2 plate of fried cheese sticks, you won’t find that here. What we did find is great tasting, fresh food. Once 5 pm rolled around, the bar area filled up and the bartenders were definitely super busy with the influx of people. We decided to get a table for dinner to watch the sunset over the beautiful property, and we weren’t disappointed. For dinner, I had the Florida 77 Salad which was $12 and a What’s Up Doc elixirs which was $9. The food was fresh and tasty. Our server, Kayla, was friendly and attentive. There was a live music popular local band that everyone seemed to be enjoying out by the fire pits and putting greens. By 7 pm, almost every table was full so definitely make a reservation now especially on the weekend. We enjoyed hanging out and we’ll...
