I came to get gas in Indiana because it's cheaper than Illinois and found this cute little restaurant! I got the Greek chicken breast sandwich and they graciously put it on pita bread instead of a bun! It changed the whole dynamic of the sandwich! Their lemon rice soup was absolutely delicious. You can tell that it's homemade and there's a little something different about it, which makes it out of this world! The owner explained why they add the gratuity to checks over $20 and it makes perfect sense. People were not tipping or they were tipping $2 on a check that was over 50! And it's printed in their menu. We will definitely be back when we're in the area again!

Food was kinda low quality for the price. Biscuits and gravy was skimpy and off in taste. My Cesar salad was just iceberg with dry chicken and sticky tomatoes. My bacon on the side was old in texture. I usually order steak or pork chops. But both of those weren’t available at all. The most frustrating part tho was that 20% percent tip was included on my bill and I almost left tip at the table. Considering my waitress seemed bother at serving anyone at the restaurant it definitely wasn’t worth it.

Place was friendly and clean. I love the decor. Soups were both different for my daughter and I. Her chicken noodle was amazing. My chicken lemon rice soup was very milky tasting. Our food was pretty good. Chopped steak and mashed was great. She had BLT w/fries. The sausage gravy might be the best I've ever had. Steak was very good as well. The BLT was avg and fries were ok.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for a long time, but today was a circus and not the fun kind. I ordered at 10:57 AM just bacon, eggs, and pancakes. By 11:30, still nothing. I asked how much longer, and the “manager” looked at me like I was interrupting her day. Meanwhile, people who walked in after me got their food fast, fresh, and with a smile. By 11:47, I asked again, and was told the magic words: “five more minutes.” Apparently, “five minutes” is code for “sit down, starve, and don’t bother me.” By noon, my toddler was cranky, my patience was gone, and I asked for a refund. Now here’s the part that really took the cake (which, funny enough, I also never got): while I stood at the counter, this “manager” walked around me to help another family first, as if I was invisible. Then she suddenly remembered me and said, “Oh, your food is ready now.” Ma’am, if you thought that was going to smooth things over, wrong answer. Process the refund. I don’t blame the new worker, she tried. But the manager? Rude, dismissive, and acting like the customers should be serving her. An hour wait for eggs and pancakes, an attitude on top of it, and a refund only after being ignored? No thanks. This place used to be good, but if that’s the leadership now, I’ll happily take my...

I liked going there for lunch once. Overall, I'd rate food 3 stars, service 3 stars and ambience 3.5 stars.

It can be both a professional lunch space and a family get together, I like that it can cater to both events. Their menu is very long and confusing.. I wanted to try something mexican because they have quite a few options, and I asked for Vegetarian recommendations.. after listening to quite a few options, I ended up ordering an omelette, pancakes and hash brown. Even I was confused why... And it was alot for one person to eat. Clearly, I only had the omelette, and rest of the things were packed to go... They also assumed I was a mexican and spoke to me in spanish repeatedly. It was hard to communicate initially, but gradually they started speaking in English but very fast. But it's good to know they are bilingual.

If you plan on a visit, remember they have dedicated parking space along side the building. I believe it only says customer parking, with some other random sign.. but do not hesitate. Anywhere towards the middle is the bank parking and they can tow your car. Lots of seating available inside, so no need to make reservations unless you are planning a big party. No wifi, so you can easily converse and socialize in peace!...

So so disappointed today with my food order. Indiana restaurant in East Chicago WAS a place I loved to go to for my steak and pork chop breakfast. Because of COVID and the restaurant closing for remodeling I had not been there for months, until today. I called them at least 15x trying to place order, however the line continued to ring busy. Therefore I had to drive 30 mins in hopes that they were open because when I searched for the number on the web it stated that it was open til 4pm. To my surprise it was open and I finally got to see the WELL done job of the remodeling on the inside. Unfortunately, I was not happy with my pork chops because they were fried to hard, mind you this is what I always order. Also, my burger order with fries was disappointing as well because the fries...
