Where do I begin? I'm not one to be rendered speechless often but I'm really at a loss for words. I'm going to do my best to try and articulate what went on.

We came here around 1 on a Saturday, the place was pretty empty. We were a table of five and got seated right away. I couldn't eat much but everyone else had fish or steak and they really enjoyed their food. Please take note this review is not about the food AT ALL. The food, they said, was delicious and a good portion and decently priced, considering the location. Now... What I do take issue with is the service and management. I consider myself a nice, polite, accommodating vegan. I don't complain when my only option on the menu is an iceberg lettuce salad and steamed vegetables. So when those steamed vegetables get placed in front of me slathered in butter and I kindly ask to please get a new plate without butter and you give me an attitude about that ("well did you ASK for it without butter?") then best believe I'm going to be THAT vegan. I was brought a new plate of vegetables (that cost $7, btw) and we all finished our meal, got some espressos and paid the check. Here's where things go wrong. Remember, a tip is NOT required in ANY restaurant. It used to be 10%, then 15% and now we're shooting up higher and higher. Well, at the bottom of the bill,t here are suggested tip percentages of 20% and up. My father paid the bill and didn't feel like our waiter had earned more than 15% so he left 15%. THE F-ING WAITER HAD THE NERVE TO COME BACK TO OUR TABLE AND POINT OUT THAT MY DAD DID NOT LEAVE ENOUGH TIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES, HE REALLY CAME BACK TO OUR TABLE AND POINTED OUT THE SUGGESTED TIPS AT THE BOTTOM AND TOLD HIM THAT HE DID NOT LEAVE ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU F-ING KIDDING ME!??!?!?!?!??!?!??!!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?! I have eaten all over the world and in different cities and NEVER, EVER, EVER has that happened. E. V. E. R. I made sure to tell him he was disgusting and tacky. My dad threw a few more bucks on the table and we left. I was FUMING but because we were family, I tried not to completely unleash. Later, on the train home, I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. Well, guess what. He didn't believe me!!! He pretty much said that he'd been sitting right there, in the front, the whole time and he didn't hear or see anything so he's not sure what happened. REALLY? REALLY REALLY? He said the most he could do is say sorry but he'll have to speak to the waiter to figure out exactly what happened. PRETTY SURE I JUST TOLD YOU. He was pretty skeptical and didn't seem to be phased by what I was telling him. He took my name and number and said he'd call me back (not sure why) but he didn't, either way. Great job. Literally, the most disgusting, appalling thing I've ever experience in the restaurant business. I can't even believe it really happened.
