We absolutely loved this spot while visiting Oahu. Besides good coffee, a very cute shop, yummy baked goofs & the sweetest staff, what I enjoyed the most was the beautiful area they have next door to relax and enjoy your goodies. Beautiful murals in gorgeous lush surroundings. I didn't find a nicer coffee shop setting while on the island. I could have sat around all day. You can sit inside or outside, both are great. There's also some seating right out front on picnic tables. They have the cutest little coffee bean plushy mascot (more on that later). My husband had some espresso & I enjoyed a latte. I also tried a macadamia lilikoi bar. It was delicious and reminded me of a tart. I wasn't paying attention to it while talking to my hubby, and a local chicken got to it, so I recorded a few of its little pecks before getting removing it, but it was delicious while it lasted. My husband says they were also playing great music and he really enjoyed it. I really appreciated that they had a lot of sampler bags to pick from. We bought several to try when we got back to the mainland, and we loved them all. I can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for a good coffee shop on the North side of the island. After trying all the samples we got while on the island, I picked my favorite blend and decided to order some from their website to have at home. I placed the order and was shocked at how quickly it was delivered, especially around the holidays. I ordered the big bag of my favorite and also ordered a sample size of the Christmas blend. I was so surprised and the love & care that went into the package that I received at home. It reminded me of my experience on the island and brought it all back to us. What an awesome way to connect people back to those memories! Kuddos to Coffee Gallery & their staff. There was a handwritten thank you note inside, along with a free sample bag of their Ha espresso blend (which my husband loved when he had it at the shop), a Coffee Gallery tote, a Keychain, AND one of their little coffee bean mascot plushies! I told you more to come on that. While there, I REALLY wanted to buy one because they were so darn cute, I LOVE coffee & thought it would look really cute in my coffee corner at home. But, I didn't buy it and regretted it when I got home & didn't have this cute little guy in my coffee spot. Well, they solved that problem for me! Will keep visiting every time we go back. Y'all are in our hearts...
Read moreI really want to put one star, but trying to be kind in hopes they can improve and be better as it is a unique venue on the NS. I do like the coffee here, but I am gravely disturbed by the poor customer service of these young girls the business hires. I posted this on Yelp as well. I am a past resident and visited this place about 20 years ago. I remember the woman who made our drink looked miserable and the energy was felt in the drink. We called and commented about that to whomever the next day to make them aware that when you make food or drink in public customer service, to be mindful of putting love into it as it can be felt. Fast forward 20 years, I had the same experience of poor customer service a few weeks ago. What is interesting is there is other reviews about this both on Google and Yelp. Why do the managers not read the comments and take note of these things to improve??? The girls here were rude, and seem to be annoyed by questions or comments by the customers. I asked about the type of milk I could have in my drink, and she was crass and appeared to have an attitude, as she repeated back to me "What type of milk do you want?" The tone was like she was annoyed. When we got the first drink, I asked the lady if my drink would be coming next, and this girl had the same rude tone of annoyance with a grumpy face and said, " I make the drinks as they come." There was one girl that seem to be nicer to compensate the rudeness of the girl serving the coffee. I hope the manager takes note of this and trains or finds employees that have better people skills and care about the customer request or concerns. I will not be going back to this place, as I feel I am a bother to be a customer. I got a bad feeling in my chest after the whole experience. I would rather give my money to a place that values it's customers by showing kindness. Super sad because this is a unique gem of the NS and I like to support independent...
Read moreI really enjoy the environment/indoor sitting area of this space. It's almost got a meditative/peaceful vibe to it some days (when it's not super busy) with plants all around. They even have outdoor sitting surrounding the most magical, gigantic, ancient tree. There are a few books to read and usually space to get a little computer work done. It's really my favorite true 'cafe vibe' here on North Shore.
Lines and wait time can be long, especially on the weekend, but the employees are always on it doing what they can to keep up.
Pastries and such are decent (tasty for sure), and I love that they have vegan, dairy free, gluten free options (most days). Lots of different options to choose from, including bean/rice burrito and I think I saw a special vegan chili option the other day. Protein bars, ice cream sandwiches and more.
My only suggestion for the food/pastries would be to have more dairy free or vegan options! And I would love for a cafe to begin offering dairy free or vegan cinnamon buns... It's needed 😉
They make their chai tea with brown sugar rather than white, which is a tiny bit healthier. Grateful for them taking the time to make it on their own.
There's a public restroom around the corner, and it is connected to a large parking lot (free parking) with a few shops and other food spots.
The owner is super kind and present in the business (I see him walking through every time I'm...
