Update: I changed my star rating due to today's experience. When the manager is running the store, he gets 5 stars. Only go to this location if the manager that has been there for like 15 years or something. I went today and got charged $8.50ish for a salad bar buffet to go. If I had more time I would of changed to the buffet at that price. The lady working and checked me out was going for the usual size container I get each time I do this so I can have some for lunch and eat rest the next day for lunch to close out the work week. Instead thanks to the short guy in black shirt and bald head, he told her no and to give me a small circle bowl which looks like the ones they use when you order a salad through the website and they make it and bring it to you vs you in person for a salad bar to go. Next issue is why is it when the manager is gone taking a order out that the staff cant keep the salad bar stocked w/n hour of being open. These toppings were either almost out or empty containers: salad mixture, cheese, croutons, onion strings, ham, eggs (Didnt touch either of the ham or eggs). Just read below and you will understand the difference. The manager shouldn't be running orders when they have to sub par employees that should be able to manage driving food to a location vs keeping up with the restaurant inside since today shows it was an epic fail.... I will only be back to eat in person and the full buffet when my son is with me and the manager is there. If he isnt working I am walking right back out and go to the 23rd Street location instead. Yes, the drive is worth it. This particular location is one my son and I go to when he is not in school or I go to for lunch. The daytime weekday manager has been there for 15 years I believe he said when I asked him. I just know I have seen him for over 10 years since living on this side of town. He and his staff are always awesome. He knows us so well that he knows my son wants a soft drink and I want water and we want a pepperoni pizza deep pan as a request to be made for the buffet. We eat our salads in the meantime. Nothing beats a fresh deep pan pizza right out of the oven. The salad bar is always stocked and clean. They always have two diff type of shows to watch on the two tv's they have in there and every once in awhile music playing. The restaurant is clean inside. You can tell they don't mind coming to work unlike other locations. The Edmond one my son and I went to ONCE after some Karen like manager lady said they don't do any deep pan/request for the buffet. Basically you get what you get. We have never been back. So many other locations other than that one in Edmond. If you can't make it to the one near 122nd and Penn go to the NW 23rd one. That was my alternate when I worked on that side of town and great staff and Managers as well as your request are very...
Read moreWhat happened Mazzios? One of my very favorite foods from Mazzios was their calzone rings, specifically the pepperoni and the ham bacon and cheddar. I decided to treat myself recently and got 2 of them for myself and the family delivered to my house. It arrived in a timely manner, about 30 minutes from online order to door, and I couldn't wait to flip open the box and indulge. When I did flip open the boxes, what I found were nothing like calzone rings from years past. These were thin, undercooked, doughy, and flavorless bread wedges mostly void of meats. To be honest, the ham bacon and cheddar did have an amount of filling that you could taste, but the pepperoni was just bread until you got up by the crust! Even then, the layer, not layers, was so thin I couldn't taste it. They also managed to completely rob the outside of flavor as well. Prior orders from other Mazzios had crusts with tons of flavor from the garlic butter, parmesan cheese, and some Italian type seasonings sprinkled here and there, not these...tasted like undercooked white chewy bread from tip to top, kinda important when 90% of your calzone is crust. The ham bacon and cheddar had more meat, but I did not care for the flavor anymore as they have changed the toppings? Internals? Whatever the insides are called. The ham is no longer thin sliced, piled high, and evenly distributed, the bacon is no longer crispy, or visible, and there is something in it, some flavor that I can't identify, that just doesn't taste good to me. I hope these things are frozen and just thrown in the oven from a supplier instead of made fresh in-house, because if not, then you could do a lot better Mazzios. At least try to mask the flavors and lack of ingredients by slathering on some tasty exteriors and cooking until they are done next...
Read moreWish I could give 0 stars. Absolute worst delivery/customer service I have ever received. Because of this one Mazzio’s screw up I will never eat at one of their establishments again. I have already sent in a complaint to the BBB. The delivery guy forgot our 16 oz ranch tub which is almost $5. He told us he would run to the store and be right back with it. This was at 6:30p.m. around 7:10p.m. there was still no sign of him so we called the store to check in and they said he was almost to our destination. 30 more minutes pass and still no sign of anyone so we call again and they told us someone would be here in 15-20 minutes. 20 more minutes pass and no one has came so we call one last time and are told the store is busy and we would have to wait until another order in our area is delivered to get it. I politely asked to just receive a refund and she tells me in order to do that they would need all of the food back. By this time it had already been almost two hours since the initial delivery and we had already eaten half of our food. She said it could be up to another hour before we get it and to call back if it still wasn’t there. Absolutely unacceptable. Think twice before ordering here there are plenty of other pizza places with much...
