Blatt Beer & Table — Restaurant in Omaha

This was our first time dining at this establishment. My wife came seeking the Fish & Chips that I had Googled and this was one of the restaurants listed in the top 10 for that dish.

From the moment we walked through the door we liked the ambiance. We took a seat in a central area so we could get a feel for the place.

Our server was quickly attending to us with water and menus. We quickly ordered a couple of beverages and perused the menu.

When our server returned with our drinks we had some questions and one was about the Fish & Chips. She was very helpful with explanations about dishes and after listening to what she had to say about the F&C, we both decided to have that.

My wife chose the Slaw with hers (not my favorite thing as it is usually too runny in most places). I chose the Dill Potato Salad with mine, which was an excellent choice. I did end up sampling the Slaw and it was actually quite tasty and I would not mind eating it.

Now about the F&C. The Cod was lightly battered and nicely crisped. There were two decent sized pieces, that at first seemed small, but were actually quite thick and meaty. The hand cut fries were crispy as well and nicely seasoned.

All in all, it was a very good meal. The rest of the menu had many things that looked and sounded delicious and I look forward to returning and sample the rest of their fare.

The only detractor, if you want to call it that, was I felt the price of the dish was a little much. But given that the Blatt is in an upscale area of West Omaha, surrounded by other upscale dining establishments, the pricing may...

I popped in for lunch on Oct 12th, 2022 at 12:20pm. I was alone and sat at the corner of the bar, which there were 4 other patrons at the bar but spaced apart. My bartender was Kayla, and she immediately greeted my with a friendly smile, along with explaining their options of brews. She was bubbly and overly friendly compared to past visits with other bartenders. I ordered a drink and chicken & jalapeño waffles for lunch (best in the midwest). Kayla remained attentive and energetic in waiting on me until my food arrived hot & fresh. The GM “Tucker” hand delivered my food which was hot, fresh and presented well on the plate. He was also bubbly and jokative with me. He immediately asked if Id like extra syrup or gravy that was included, but I declined since there was plenty provided. He said just say the word for more. Throughout my lunch, both Tucker & Kayla remained very attentive to other patrons and kept conversations fun. This experience was a stark contrast to past visits where the bartenders didn’t appear happy and wanting to be there. They didn’t use to be so attentive or conversationalists with patrons. I have meant to write this back in late January. My family (4 kids) and I came here on a Sunday during the 49ers vs Lions NFC Championship game. The service here was top notch by the staff and manager. The waitress always checked on us and kept the kids entertain. The manager came by our table, welcomed us, and let us know how good our kids behave and how respectful and polite they were when they ask for something. He allowed them to play the shuffleboard if we treated it as it should. He asked for feedback on the food which was phenomenal. The kids devour the pretzel bites and the kids meal was insane as my son would say when he likes something. The manager was so delighted by our experience and how are kids handed him back the shuffleboard pieces that he gave the kids a free dessert on the house. If we can give more than 5 stars I would. The experience Blatt provided us made us reminisce on how restaurant experience should be which in some places you don't get that anymore. My only regret is with our busy life, I promised to write this post the day after we ate there, and I didn't. I apologize for that. We can't wait to return and enjoy the outside patio when the weather is nice. Keep up the great work...
