This was a pickup/to go order) Exceptional food! The portions are large as well. We ordered Basil Stir Fried Rice (added chicken), Chili Paste Oil Fried Rice (added chicken), Spinach Cheese Rolls, Shrimp in a Blanket, Crab Rangoon, and Mango Sweet Rice. Everything was hot, freshly made and absolutely delicious.
They packed our fried items in paper bags so they were still crispy when we got home to eat. The people who pack in styrofoam and let your fried items sweat in the steam from cooking ruin the food for to go orders. It was a thoughtful and environmentally friendly touch.
Our meals were packed in paper containers with a bit of foil on the bottom so their packaging is great. The Chili Paste Oil Fried Rice was fantastic. The taste and spice level were perfect. I ordered a level 5 and I like spicy and it was spot on. My husband ordered Basil Stir Fried Rice and he enjoyed it very much. He ordered 0 spicy and it was spot on for him as well.
The Shrimp in a Blanket has a cute name. It is not breaded like a pig in a blanket would be, they use wonton wrappers to blanket their shrimp. It had a delicate flavor that didn't overpower the shrimp, was a good size shrimp and it was very crispy.
The Spinach Cheese Rolls are small, thin and super crispy. We both enjoyed them very much. The Crab Rangoons were perfectly prepared albeit a bit too sweet for me but it is difficult to find them without some sweetness added so I don't fault them by any means.
Our dessert was Mango Sweet Rice. We had never tried it before. It was outstanding. I loved the contrast of the coconut milk sweetened rice with the perfectly ripe and very fresh mango. They are my favorite fruit so I know how difficult it is to get a good one.
This was our first time here as the place is fairly new. It replaced a terrible BBQ place. Thanks! Our meals were exceptional and we will absolutely be back. Sorry for the lack of photos we were really hungry and had no idea it would...
Read moreI ordered take out through a delivery app and ordered the pad kee mao (drunken noodles), mango rangoons, crispy spring roll, and Thai iced tea. I love Thai food and I usually try to order Thai once a week. Everything was included in my order and was warm and fresh on arrival! My noodles were not too spicy and were full of flavor. It was a very generous portion size, it’ll likely feed me as lunch or dinner for 2-4 days.
Personally, I did think the noodles were a bit dry. I’m not sure if they soaked up the sauce en route to my home, but if you’ve never had pad kee mao, it’s not a very saucy dish so I wasn’t expecting loads of sauce. It also didn’t contain broccoli, which I feel like most restaurants do. I would have enjoyed more vegetables and broccoli in the noodles. They’re also what I would consider the “typical noodle” for Thai take out. I usually think of the really wide rice noodles (like 1 inch wide and rolled thin) and these were a thinner straight cut noodle (maybe 1/3 inch wide). Still delicious, just different!
The rangoons didn’t have a lot of mango flavor inside but that might be a plus if you’re looking for your classic crab rangoons and they had chunks of crab (or imitation crab?) in them rather than just cream cheese. My spring rolls and Thai tea were both perfect! I am a vegetarian but I do sometimes eat seafood and this was very vegetarian friendly with plenty of tofu options.
Overall, wonderful Thai food and a great opportunity to support a local business, and their dishes are bit different than some of the other local Thai...
Read moreThis restaurant must’ve changed hands and we didn’t even know it. I tried to keep an open mind and give them the benefit of doubt, but something has changed in the last two years or so. We’ve been probably 5 or 6 times and Uber’d delivery a couple times and the amounts get less and less, while the price gets more and more. A Thai Beef Salad added 6 shrimp and a Thai tea came to $39. That’s quite high considering there use to be so much more to this salad. We used to come here and eat in. The salads were on a oval plate and was heaping with lettuce cucumbers, tomatoes and red onions with green onions or scallions. Now, you can barely see the lettuce. Nor is It heaping. The rice was so dry and hard, more than half of the rice was almost translucent. Myself being a rice l, eater born and raised, this looked to be day old rice that was microwaved. No moisture whatsoever. We sprinkled it on our wooden table and you could hear the “tink, tink, tink” of the rice hitting the table.
Not only was their salad nowhere near what it used to be, but it was more sweet than the umami we remembered it used to be. The salad was sweeter than their Thai Tea. I’m just so disappointed...
