Them desserts is mighty taystee! Brought in three generations of family after dinner for what looked to be a special experience. Man the baked goods are very good but the staff is totally socially disfunctional and probably should be replaced, unless they're the owners (yikes). Hence the 4 stars instead of 5.
There were two young girls that could barely communicate in standard verbal interactions with us, the customers. There were seemingly no acknowledgements or even simple thank yous. One was blank faced, expressionless and dismissive - didn't say anything, just kind of stared at us as we asked for help. When we talked to the shorter gal she looked to the side of us when we talked to her as if she didn't understand what we were saying or didn't know where it was coming from... and then meekly mumbled some nearly unintelligible response without making eye contact. So strange. Is this was Gen Zers are like in the workforce?
We tried to get their attention for utensils (that's forks in laymen terms) but they were too busy tik-toking in their phones and using laptops that we could clearly see at a table in the back. We remedied lack of attention by opening the door which rings in the back and brings them to the counter. You'll need to apply this technique multiple times if you desire service.
Not trying to be harsh, Just joining in their callout culture. Figure it out people, we came to spend money during a snowstorm. You got a good thing going. Try not to screw it up with poor customer service.
BTW... The lemon strawberry bar was seriously fantastic! Favorite of the 6...
Read moreOrdered a birthday cake for my partners birthday. From beginning to end this was a great experience. Chelsie was quick to respond to e-mails and made the entire process super easy. I gave her a rough idea of kind of what I wanted and she took it from there. Everything was done through e-mail, including my payment, so I literally just walked in the door and picked it up when it was ready.
The cake turned out amazing! My partner was really happy with it. It was both aesthetically pleasing and tasted great. I especially appreciated how nuanced the flavors were. It was a coffee and walnut cake, but each bite had some subtle differences. There were hints of almond cake to break up some of the coffee flavor which was my favorite part.
The cake was beautifully decorated. I really wanted something unique and special and she nailed it. All in all it was worth every penny. Thank you Chelsie for helping to make my partners birthday special. If anyone wants to make their occasion memorable, The Bubbly Tart is the way to go! I know it is my new go-to when I want to do something special...
Read moreWe were lucky to have Chelsie and crew from The Bubbly Tart provide the dessert bar at our wedding. We chose to do a more non traditional spin on wedding desserts for our small family gathering. We had the most deliciously decadent chocolate peanut butter cake as a personal dessert for ourselves. We shared cupcakes designed after our 3 huskies, cheese cake bites, cookies (they went so fast!), macarons, cake pops, and my favorite: treacle tarts! I’ve been a patron of The Bubbly Tart for a few years, so it was extra special to have them a part of our wedding day! Chelsie was incredible to work with and she executed my vision perfectly! I couldn’t recommend this bakery more! Their shop is darling and also offers fun themed tea parties (we just went to the Harry Potter tea this weekend). We can’t decide what we like more, the sweet or savory treats. Thank...
