I honestly don't know where to begin. My family and I have been loyal customers to voodoo taco for YEARS. I have never been so disappointed as I was today. I got there a little after 6 and waited around 10 minutes in line (one person in front of me). My receipt shows my order was placed @6:21, and I'll add that they were out of about 5 different menu items. I finally got my tacos at 7:23. (Over and hour for 9 tacos). Only 3 booths of people in the restaurant. I was brought the wrong order once, and when I finally got the correct order and checked it we were a taco short. They didn't label the ghost pork as they were asked, so we had to hand pick thru each taco and figure out what was missing. When it was determined we were short a carnitas taco, I was told they would give me another ghost pork cause they had another ready. I said no, I'd like what was ordered originally. Finally got the extra taco, and it wasn't a carnitas EITHER! This is the big part, no apologies, no effort to make things right, nothing. Horrible. As I was getting ready to leave, someone who had placed a to-go order came in for his food and he was turned away, they blamed it on their "computers" but I know better from sitting there so long. Unless a manager makes this right, we won't be back, EVER. Picture included showed one of the tacos (two were this way) had an undercooked or saturated tortilla, it was doughy, almost raw. Unreal.

Had a great lunch at Voodoo Taco in Aksarben with my partner! He ordered the build-your-own beef burrito with Cajun rice and refried beans, and I tried the Baja fish taco, fried chicken taco, and cilantro rice. The entrees were great, especially the fish taco—love the sriracha mayo sauce and avocado on it! The cilantro rice was oddly bland, even with tomatoes and cotijo cheese crumbles on it. But that's not what we were there for anyways. They have four kinds of coke on the machine (diet, regular, sugar free, cherry) with limited other options for soda. But I'm a cherry coke girlie, so I'm not complaining. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming. It's a grab-your-own setup for drinks and silverware, and when one of the employees noticed I hadn’t picked up a fork yet, she brought one over without me even asking. It was such a small gesture, but it really stood out. Love when people go the extra mile just to be kind. We’ll definitely be back! 🌮✨

Had fajita taco. Reminded me nothing of one.. my spouse had the fish taco bowl. After 10 minutes we got queso and chips to the table. Total of 23 minutes later and the place was dead. They handed us Incorrect order. The fish was to be a bowl not a taco. So that took a while to get fixed. The food was all filler. Rice, beans, cabbage, cheese, anything else and then itty bitty meat. Took that long for what?? Also. When paying, they ask you to tip.. for? Kinda rude.. Do you too Chipotle? Oh yeah. At least there you get way more food, and for half the wait.. It was ok. But I'm not sure about the slogan " wicked good ". Don't think so. Also they brag about having 3 years of best taco place? That's a joke right?? This is the best place In Omaha for tacos?? 😂 You would never make it in Kansas City Missouri. Good luck with your business.

Man... When I saw the name of the place and walked in, I thought this place is gonna be awesome!

Love the voodoo doll theme. Love the taco selection. Absolutely HATED the front desk service. God almighty.

This guy.... Girl? Idk and don't really care, but he almost lacerated me with his claws. I just wanted to sit at the bar area and order a couple tacos... Nope, you must get up and walk around to the front and order as if it's To-Go. So I order a beer and tacos (debit card Yanked from my hand) and round the fkn corner again to sit down.

I had to ask the cook who popped out of the kitchen if he could get my beer because I was quickly forgotten. He had to force the guy to pour the beer.

The food was AWESOME. Cooks did a wonderful job. I had 2 Cajun mini tacos and the green ghost pepper pork Taco (spicy). They are the true heros of this joint. I wish my tip went to them.

The service..... Person? Aggressive, angry, forceful, dismissive and %100 in control of the angry music playing. Aggressively washed like 1 cup and splashed dish water and what not up on me as I was eating.

Like it's a bar top and there are chairs prompting people to sit at them. I asked if I could sit there and eat and was responded with a massive sigh. It was like 845pm. I didn't come in late or anything.

I literally came from across the street from Jimmy Ds. Like a WORLD a difference in customer service. I was kinda shocked.

One simple way to turn a great concept with great food into a...

Really good food, but the service is pretty bad and the lines get long and move very slowly. They have 2 registers, but I've never seen the 2nd ever get utilized. They seem to be understaffed and usually only have 1 person trying to man the register, pour drinks and run food all at once. The people in back prepping the food are usually pretty loud (laughing and stuff) and give off an unprofessional vibe.

For a place that charges 4-5 bucks per taco and asks for tips up front, I would expect a lot better service.

The food itself is good though, but for what you get, I think it's still a tad overpriced.

EDIT July 2019: Came here again unwillingly with some friends that really wanted to go. It seems that they are under different management now and they slightly changed things around. They opened up a window to the cook area which seemed to streamline things a bit better. I only ordered a drink and we came at a time that was fairly slow, but we did seem to get a little bit bitter service than before. Updated rating to 3 stars, but probably need to be back again with consistent good service to upgrade it further. It does seem the place is at least improving, and if the service is better during the busy hours then I may be more willing to return in the...
