Service is friendly which saved you from a 3 star rating. Food was ok to good (sandwiches) but the portions were smaller than expected as compared to other diners serving similar food. Had meatloaf previously, was not impressed. Decided to try again. Potato soup was BLAND AT BEST.. I would describe it as white pepper gravy with potatoes, onion and bacon added which was in serious need of flavor. Be ready for a long wait. Signage on the table said 35 to 45 to order/receive your order. 85 minutes later received the order (Saturday lunch time). I really want to give Tom and Betty's a five star but just don't see it. If the food quality and portions were better, you would have people lined up to get in.

Went here for lunch one day with a co-worker. The waitress was not very pleasant, the kitchen was extremely slow, and the food was not very tasty at all. When we got there, they had a sign saying that the menu prices were only for cash customers and if you’re paying with a card, the prices are higher. I asked the waitress how much more they charge to pay with a card and she became irritated and said with an attitude, “I don’t know. I have to go check the computer. What do you want and I’ll go check.” I asked if it’s just a percentage or if it’s like a dollar or two more, and again she gave me an attitude. We let it go and ordered food without knowing what we were paying. My colleague ordered a sandwich and I got a salad. My son had soup and a small salad. The salad was huge, but was mostly lettuce. The chicken was flavored but not right for a salad. I barely ate any of this massive mound of lettuce. My co-workers sandwich looked good, and the fries were really good. My sons soup tasted and looked like it was straight out of a Campbell’s soup can, and the salad was just okay. The ranch was good. Honestly the only really great thing about this place was the atmosphere. Cute decor and seating was wherever you want to sit.

I really was hoping I was going to like this local restaurant but honestly, I really didn’t. It was rather disappointing and I’m already on the fence when it comes to eating subs and sandwiches at restaurants. I got the dorado and my husband the tornando and we were just not impressed. Mine was way too big and the extra slice of bread was overkill. There was also a weird proportion of bread to meat and I don’t understand why the sauce and egg had to be on top on the bread instead of inside it. I flipped it upside down because it just made no sense. My husbands was too small and he said it also lacked flavor. I’m even more upset because it was suppose to be a fun birthday lunch and we left kind of upset. It was also kind of expensive for what it is. The whole experience was rather annoying.
