I took my grandkids to the Orland Park trunk a treat hosted by Orland Park, and Ale House was the last establishment we visited, as soon as we approached the staff outside I knew we were going to have an issue because the staff in the grinch costume ask the older female caucasian with blonde hair what time it was, she replied 5:39. I'm assuming that he asked that since the event was over at 6pm. Well, my 4yr grand daughter and I waited for them to finish there conversation then she picked up the bucket that was on the floor and looked at my granddaughter while holding the bucket of candy in her hands and said, " what do we say" I replied and said trick or treat and she repeated the question to my granddaughter, which I then replied, she's non verbal she can't speak. She replied with oh well for her. I was in complete shock! She then proceeded to ask me to scan the QR code for their establishment. I said no thank you and walked away. I could not believe the audacity. Her response brought me to tears. Please educate your staff that not everyone has the ability to communicate and her response was not appropriate. I did call the establishment and spoke with a gentleman who said he was the shift leader and I explained to him what had just occurred. He apologized. I'm just in disbelief that an adult would say that. I don't know if it was a comprehension issue or if she just lacked the ability to understand what the word non verbal meant but regardless her response was inappropriate. Please teach your staff to be inclusive and respectful of disabilities since not all disabilities...
Read moreCame here with wife for a good evening and it was a bad experienced. As we entered we were not greeted only told to seat in any table, no welcome or hello. Noticed anybody else that walked in was greeted. We ordered food and no utensils or napkins. Wife plate came out 30 minutes later and it was a southwest chicken flat bread. I ordered buffalo chicken flat bread and curly fries and never came out. Had a beer and wife two mix drinks and they were not all that. We never saw the waiter only when I had to stop another employee. Honestly employees or owners were seated at the bar drinking and lack of service. Hour and half and no food. So we left. Bad experienced. I am trying to not believe in racism but we are Mexicans and as soon as we walked in the vibe was felt. But hope I am wrong. But the service spoke for itself. Also, next morning wife had food poisoning went to hospital. All she had was the southwest chicken flat...
Read moreWas there a couple times in the past month.
First time..flatbread was more like a mid-size appetizer than what was made out to be a main meal. For anyone with an appetite, this alone would not be enough. Very little chicken on it for having it in the name. Nashville wrap was decent. Second time..wraps for both and both good. $3 upcharge to go from kettle chips to a rather small order of curly fries is a bit steep, and the fries were warm at best when they came out.
Service decent both times. Did not bring utensils tho, perhaps becaue they thought they weren't needed. Menu on their website did not match the actual menu. In my opinion, if there is a menu on your website or facebook page, it should be up-to-date and correct. Prices on the high side for the meals, especially if you factor in the upcharge to have fries. Perhaps its a "location" thing. Having the Clipp deal was a bit...
