Quick stop in the neighborhood, we had arrived in Orlando and looking for something to eat. I wanted something different, my wife wanted something boring and wanted to eat in. It was clear it was delivery or just go and pick up, I wanted to explore a little so I went out. I read the description of the 'Fu Manchu' and knew I had to get it. So I placed my order and picked up my wife's food. The place was hard to spot from the street at night time, it's in a little plaza with the plaza sign unlit. Once finding the establishment, stepped in to find the decor is dark and intimate, it looked pretty cool. Wish I could have stayed, but had to pick up and bring back to the Airbnb place. Opened up my 'Fu Manchu' on sourdough. Oh where have you been all my life! Absolutely delightful and rich flavor. The Asian pulled pork was complimented by the goat cheese and cranberry chutney, a beautiful symphony of flavors. The watercress and red onions added subtly to the flavor and provided some nice texture to an otherwise soft consistency. Much applause to whomever dreamed this up, most impressive! Interaction with staff was limited because my sandwich was ready on arrival, but otherwise pleasant.

Pom Poms: Where the Sandwiches are Outrageous and the Fun Never Ends Pom Poms is a staple of Orlando food culture, and for good reason. This funky little cafe serves up some of the most creative and delicious sandwiches in town, along with a wide selection of teas and sweets. But it's not just the food that makes Pom Poms so special. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They're always happy to recommend a sandwich or tea to suit your taste. We just learned about their Tuesday bingo night. Every Tuesday, they host a bingo game where you can win some pretty awesome prizes, like...meat? Yeah I'm down to win meat. I'm not sure what's more outrageous, the prizes or the fact that they actually have a bingo night. But I'm here for it. If you're looking for a fun and delicious place to eat in Orlando, I highly recommend Pom Poms. Just be sure to bring your appetite and your sense of whimsy. Shout out to Samantha and Jay for being awesome and helping us pick something delicious to munch on.

Pom Pom’s is one of those local favorites that might go unnoticed by tourists. From the outside it’s just another mom and pop store. It’s truly not your average tea house, it’s a relax environment with a hipster vibe. The staff makes you feel like your at home and the cafe style restaurant is very small and cozy. An average sandwich runs you around $9-$10 but there’s nothing average about the sandwiches. I tried the local favorite which was a Thanksgiving sandwich with gravy on the side and I see why it’s a local favorite. They had a decent selection of hot and cold teas and a limited selection of desserts in a display case. Pom Pom’s also has a selection of artworks from local artists on display on there walls that you can purchase. For a party of 2 our bill was about $50 with 2 sandwiches, sides, teas, and tip. It was truly a unique experience and I would definitely go back in the near future.

If you're looking for a deliciously funky hole-in-the-wall in Orlando, look no further than Pom Pom Tea House and Sandwicheria. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this spot as part of the Wandering Palm Food Tours, and let me tell you, it was a sandwich experience like no other!

First up, the spicy Mac n Chez - a mac and cheese concoction that packs a spicy punch and a whole lot of comfort. It was like getting a warm hug from your favorite aunt, with a side of kick.

And speaking of sandwiches, the two we tried were nothing short of phenomenal. The combination of ingredients may sound unconventional but trust me when I say it just works. It was like a flavor explosion in every bite.

But the real star of the show was the rose sake cocktail - a refreshing and subtly sweet libation that was the perfect pairing for our meal. It was like sipping a bouquet of melon soaked roses, in the best possible way.

If you're looking for a quirky and delicious lunch spot in Orlando, Pom Pom Tea House and Sandwicheria is a must-try. And if you're lucky enough to have it as part of a Wandering Palm Food Tour, even better. You'll leave feeling full, happy, and maybe even a little bit cooler than when you walked in.

In the evening, I heard they have a noodle menu which I have not tried, but I will be...

I’m typically a 5 star only reviewer, but this experience really was 2 stars. My sandwich was fine, but they didn’t even give my friend dressing for her lettuce bowl they called a salad. The real issue was how they ran the place. We ordered at the counter, ordered teas and a water with our food and left a tip because were not jerks. Right after us wave after wave of people came in and they kept taking orders without stopping to make anyones tea. I was done with my food so I asked Em about the teas and she said she was the only one working (I’m assuming she meant besides the 2 cooks) and she’d make them when she could. She then proceeded to take another 10 orders and now the place is full of people who have finished their food and are still waiting on their tea. She then made 6 teas all back to back, and they were all for orders after ours. When I was finally able to get her attention again she was like “oh yeah, what’d you order again? I can make it now.” We’re heading to an event we can’t bring drinks into, so I just want my money back. After another 15 minutes I have my $6 for tea back but just ate the 20% tip for terrible service. As good as the food was I’d stick to pickup orders only or at least don’t tip...

I am giving Pom Pom's 3/5 stars not because it is bad in any particular way, it just wasn't my wife and I's taste as vegans.

4/5 The Service: When we ordered, the cashier was very nice. The only reason I give this a 4/5 is because she wasn't terribly insistent on helping us figure out their vegan options. Other than that, the food came out quick and there were no problems there.

3/5 The Atmosphere: I honestly cannot remember much of the atmosphere. Nothing really stuck out at me as great or bad. It was clean enough not to warrant a comment about uncleanliness, but it wasn't immaculate either.

3/5 The Food: As vegans, there really are not options for us at Pom Pom's. We had the Veggie Sandwich and a side of the Noodles. The food was alright. There was not any particular flavoring of the veggies that stuck out has great or even good for that matter. The noodles were fine, a little bland for our tastes, we cook with a lot of seasoning.

Honestly, we were starving and it was really late, there were few places open and we tried Pom Pom's. Since then, we have not been back since nor have a desire to return. I am sure their none vegan options are as good as others have reviewed, but as vegans, it...
