What to say about this place? Came in from out of town and a friend said the tacos we're good, that the tortilla was the star of the show. I felt the salsas and meat were pretty up there as well. Great tacos! I had a taste of the carnitas, braised beef and asada tacos. Oh baby, the salsa on the asada taco was unique to me, amazing and made me want more. I did feel the meat could have been seasoned better, but the salsa really brought up it's level. The beef, oof, the amount of juices that came pouring out was mind-blowing. Very juicy overall! Now, my favorite one, carnitas. Boy was it something else, perfectly cooked. Crispy parts, super melt in your mouth softness. Wow. Very delicious! Handmade tortillas were definitely well done! Soft, best way to describe them. The salsa Verde...very well done, enough of a small kick but incredibly flavorful. Chipotle salsa, smokey and a sweetness to it that went PERFECT with the braised beef. Just a great place for tacos. I felt they were expensive when I saw them at 5.50 each, but now understand why the price is set there. The quality delivers. Definitely Tacolicious.

What a place! Straight forward tacos with fabulous meat and flavors. Great selection of cocktails and beer. And amazingly fresh guacamole and cheese dips. What more do you want? Tacolicious gets it right starting from the name. They are not trying to be any fancy Mexican cuisine. They are not shy about being a straightforward tacqueria / cantina. The interior and the vibes support this well. But Tacolicious does this with fresh style and modernism. I love the fact that they keep their menu simple and stay focused. The nacho chips are fresh and tasty just by itself. Combine this with genuinely fresh guacamole and their "amazing" and supposedly naughty cheese dip and you're already happy. The tacos are flavorful - would highly recommend the Baja-Style Fish and Spicy Shrimp. Also don't forget to try their churros - again, crisp, chewy and freshly made. Tacolicious is a phenomenal addition to Palo Alto downtown. Great for families, friends, and just to have a fun time all around. Clean, modern, yet authentic. Absolutely a gem.

Been going to Tacilcious for awhile and the food is still good. Definitely disappointed they removed one of their best selling items ie pastrami taco. The waiter said it was due to seasons (which is total BS). You lose a star automatically for killing off some of the top items. The drinks are good still. Probably wouldn’t say it’s authentic Mexican food but it’s pretty quality for what it is. Would consider this place somewhat pricey (receipt is what was ordered and this was on taco Tuesday). About billing/check: 1) They sneak in the employer mandate fee (aka living cost) without disclosing the % amount (you have to calculate it) 2) They provide tip suggestion base on POST-TAX Kind of shady billing but nonetheless I highly suggest you lower your tip because of this. Atmosphere is fair though inside they suffer from poor acoustics. They have outdoor seating. Overall this place is good if have a hankering for tacos but for Mexican food you have plenty of options. 3.5/5 rating.

We have been to this place many times before but this time the service and the food were terrible. I made a reservation outdoors so I could bring my dog. The host wanted to sit us (3) by the entrance, I asked if we could sit in one of the other open tables as my dog would be blocking the door or the sidewalk, he said the other open tables were reserved (that's why I made a reservation!) and that we would have to wait 20 minutes, so we waited. The host was super rude from then on. Then we got chips and waited for about 15 minutes to flag the waiter to take our order. Got the food, the kale salad was mostly old yellow leaves, the taco tortillas were hard and chewy, the tuna tostada was drenched in a really strong sauce, but once you removed the sauce the tuna was fishy. Unfortunate cause I really liked this place.

Chips are fresh and crispy, everything else was even better after that. The tacos certainly live up to the restaurant’s name. The fish and the chicken were my favorite as they are unique. Love the selection of condiments they come with, mild, smokey, and a bit of heat. My love for cilantro definitely favors my opinion since they were very generous on that! The guacamole was so good and so filling at the same time, and of course also completely filled with cilantro! Had to drive right away after dinner otherwise would love to try some of their signature alcohol. Will visit again
