Shady establishment. When my wife called, she asked how much was the breakfast for two people and the server stated it was $25… When we went to the restaurant again, we asked the server again how much is it for two people She stated $25 once again for the “Serpme Breakfast”. We also spoke Turkish therefore, it wasn’t a language barrier.
We asked the server if the tea was included. She stated yes it was.(It also states on the menu that it is included) On the table, the menu is written down as well and has the prices. The guy owner was nice but everything else was horrible. The food came out 45 minutes late even though there were only three customers! We were fine with that as well and they apologized however, They kept bringing food to our table and taking it back and telling us its the wrong order which left us confused. When the bill came, i was left in shock! For 2 people, The breakfast cost was $25 each. They also charged us extra $10 for the tea which was supposed to be included in the price.
Now when it comes to the portions. For two people, i received 3 pieces of sujuk and 2 pieces of pastirma and 5 pieces of tomatoes and 5 pieces of cucumber which was sour by the way, for two people!! I’m not kidding. I counted the pieces thats how little it was. I thought it was a mistake however, it wasn’t! The table next to us were two people as well and had a whole plate of pastirma and sujuk as well as a whole plate of tomatoes and cucumbers.
This is unacceptable by all means. They do a bait and switch here and the service is terrible. I will never step foot in this restaurant again. Walk down 2-3 blocks and go to Toros instead. They have a wonderful breakfast and It only costs $40 for two people. (They’re not cheap) and comes with...
Read moreAn amazing place. When you walk in you feel like it is an ordinary place. But its not like a commercial place. They greeted us with smile and kind words. We felt the love on their heart and on the faces. It's a family run business. The food is homemade food with grandma's love. She is an amazing cook with an amazing heart. She recommended what good. Everything tasted like homemade authentic Turkish food. Not like any others. She made me think about my grandma. Im very greatful for that feeling. She didn't speak much English but she didn't need to. Her loved filled energy said it all. I understood her perfectly. They all were very pleasant to talk to. They loved our kids. The humble experience has touched all of our hearts. My daughter still talkes about the kind lady's treatment. I would encourage all of us to support this amazing place with great food. You will get a feel good experience that you will not regret. Which is priceless. Gad bless...
Read morePerfection. Even during these hard times, these sweet people managed to bring their best on the table. Numbers aren’t important. Quality of the service and food are most crucial for the restaurant business. They deserve all the good things. By far this restaurant is one of the best places to go in New England and the best in New Jersey. I've tried different places around the States, Turkey, and Europe. This is the taste of Turkey. So proud! I'm so disappointed in “3” unnecessary bad reviews after going through all of them. Please ignore them and stop looking further. Just go to this place. They are...
